Last weekend, I had an inspiring and nourishing time co-facilitating a weekend retreat on back pain with Neil & Lisa Pearson in Garden Bay on the Sunshine Coast.

Nine of our students joined us from the Coast, the Island, and the Lower Mainland as we moved from basic to refined understandings of how pain affects every aspect of our bio-psycho-social-spiritual being, and how Yoga Therapy, Pain Science and Yoga Philosophy can change our experience of pain and the pain itself.

Thank you to everyone who participated 🙏 We will collaborate again in the years to come!

Hello Sunshine Coast Yogis!

I hope some of you can join the newly formed Yoga in Pender Harbour Collective presenting at our local Health and Wellness Expo at the Pender Harbour Community Hall on Saturday, April 18th 10am-2pm.

I will be presenting with the some of the other wonderful Yoga teachers from Pender Harbour: Brigit Cogrossi, Carole Logtenberg, Kristin Tracey, and Rochelle Blain as part of the newly formed Yoga in Pender Harbour Collective!

I will be teaching a Yoga Therapy class demo from 10:45-11am if you can join 🙏

Carole is teaching at 10:20-10:35am and Brigit at 12:25-12:40 pm if you can join them for their Hatha Yoga demos 😌 If you attend all 3 of our demos, you will get a full class amongst us😃

Come to our tables anytime between 10 and 2 to learn more about Yoga in Pender Harbour including Yoga Therapy, Hatha Yoga, Restorative Yoga, Chair Yoga, and even Aerial Yoga. There are many options to choose from according to your individual needs and preferences.

Are you interested in learning how Post-Traumatic Growth is supported by Yoga Therapy Philosophy and Practices?

In this in-person workshop on the Sunshine Coast on May 2nd, we will look at what the Yoga Sutra-s say about identifying the symptoms of trauma/duḥkha (Ch I,31) and pathways towards post-traumatic growth and transformation (Ch I 32-39 and Ch II, 16 & 46-48).

Through discussion and practice, we’ll explore how Yoga Therapy practices can promote a regulated and flexible Autonomic Nervous System (ananta), gently inviting the release of past suffering (duḥkha) held in the body-mind continuum through transformative growth.
