"Throughout my career as a gymnast, I haven’t seen a physiotherapist as helpful as Len Chong. He has assisted me both at Elios Health’s office and at multiple national competitions. What I like most about Len’s treatment style is not only his deep understanding of gymnastics and the injuries that come with it, but also his focused approach to recovery and preventing the injury in the future.

At one of my most recent national competitions, Elite Canada, I was dealing with a shoulder injury that was preventing me from performing multiple skills. Upon seeing Len, he was able to identify the problem and instantly reduce the pain. Thanks to his help, I was able to win the Vault title, along with silver medals in the All-Around and on Parallel Bars.

Thanks to Len and Elios Health, I am able to continue doing the sport I love and continue to make smart decisions about my injuries." -- Connor Fielding

Thank you for the kind words, Connor! Let's keep it up!

We are proud to share that another Team Canada Alumni has joined the Elios Health Crew! Welcome to Raquel Tjernagel, physiotherapy graduate!

Raquel combines her strong background in sports, health, and coaching to help people move with confidence and feel their best. She has had the honour of representing Canada in track and field at the World Youth and World Junior Championships, as well as the Pan American Games—experiences that shaped both her discipline and her understanding of performance at the highest level.

Her athletic journey continued in the NCAA Division I system, where she competed on scholarship for both the University of Texas and the University of Washington. While completing her MSc in Physiotherapy in London, Raquel also trained with the Linford Christie Track Academy—an opportunity that further deepened her commitment to movement, recovery, and injury prevention.

Now, as a coach with the Vancouver Thunderbirds and in preparation to become a registered physiotherapist, Raquel combines academic training with lived experience to support individuals in achieving their physical goals. Her work is grounded in empathy, clear communication, and a dedication to lifelong learning. She strives to create a supportive, empowering space for each client—whether they’re working toward peak performance, recovering from training, or simply aiming to move and feel better in their daily lives.

In her free time, Raquel enjoys being with family, hiking, chasing new personal bests in the gym, and unwinding through painting. Folks are currently booking with Raquel for sports massage on Tuesday and Wednesday mornings.

Taylor trains hard and climbs harder—on gear, on stone, and on plastic. She boulders and trad climbs year-round, switching between Squamish granite and gym circuits with ease and intensity. Born and raised in Vancouver, she grew up chasing summits, paddling coastlines, and carving ski lines through local mountains. Climbing hooked her early, and she’s been doubling down on the send life ever since.

Taylor backs her movement knowledge with BCRPA Fitness Theory certification and a deep understanding of training principles. At Elios, she crafts climbing-specific training plans, leads outdoor intro sessions, and builds programs that get people strong enough to move better—indoors and out.

Catch her in the clinic on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays — or out on the rock, where she’s most at home.

🔥Student RMT🔥 Erin’s journey into bodywork started high off the ground. With roots in circus aerials and flying trapeze, she found an early love for movement, height, and challenge—three things that naturally pulled her into the world of rope access. She earned her IRATA Level 3 in November 2023 and spent years suspended from high-rises, rigging over bridges, and working avalanche control in the backcountry. Now, she’s charting a new course—one closer to the ground but just as connected to the body in motion.

Currently in her second year of massage school, Erin is building a solid foundation in Swedish massage, myofascial release, and deep tissue techniques. Her approach is informed by years of reading tension through ropes and harnesses, and she brings that same curiosity and intuitive awareness to every treatment. When she’s not on the table or hitting the books, you’ll likely find her deep in BC’s backcountry—on foot, by bike, or spinning clay at the wheel.

Erin offers a calm, grounded presence and a deep respect for the body’s story—whether it’s shaped by the circus, the mountains, or the everyday climb back to balance.

Out of benefits? Come visit with Erin on Saturday mornings!

Hannah studies movement, trains hard, and digs deep into what makes bodies perform and recover.

She earned her Kinesiology degree with Distinction, focusing on Exercise Science, and now trains at the Vancouver College of Massage Therapy to sharpen her manual therapy skills and anatomical knowledge. She blends clinical curiosity with athletic experience to help people move better, get stronger, and stay in the game.

She competed for three seasons with the UFV Cascades basketball team and worked on the sidelines as a Student Athletic Trainer. There, she supported teammates through injury, built rehab programs, and gained hands-on experience in recovery and performance care.

She hikes, she camps, and she climbs. Since moving to Vancouver, she’s chased ridgelines with her dog and tackled some incredible backcountry trips. Climbing recently pulled her in, and she’s spent the last year learning rope systems, building technique, and testing strength on Lower Mainland crags.

She thrives in a community that moves with intention and lives for the outdoors. At the clinic, she brings energy, focus, and a commitment to helping others feel capable in their bodies—on the wall, in the mountains, and everywhere in between.

You got this, Hannah! Let’s get people feeling awesome!
