Cervical ripening is the process your body begins as it prepares for birth — when the cervix starts softening, thinning, and becoming more responsive to hormones like oxytocin. This natural transition usually begins around week 36 of pregnancy.

At this stage, Prenatal acupuncture can help support the body’s readiness by improving blood flow, balancing hormones, and easing tension in the pelvis — allowing these changes to unfold more smoothly.

Starting acupuncture at week 36, gives the body time to prepare gradually. For high-risk pregnancies, we recommend beginning as early as week 34.

Our Organic Raspberry Nettle leaf tea is finally here! 🧡

We had such a special day at today, brewing over 4 liters of our Raspberry Nettle leaf tea and sharing it with so many wonderful people. Women of all ages, their partners, and family members stopped by, sipped, and took home a bag—some for themselves, others as a thoughtful gift for a loved one.

This tea has been a long time in the making. Raspberry leaf and Nettle leaf are two of the most-loved herbal infusions we recommend at Acumamas, and we wanted to create a blend that was simple, balanced, and comforting.

For now this tea is only available at Acumamas Wellness in Olympic Village: 301 W 2nd Ave, Vancouver, BC. If you would like to give it a try, stop by the clinic—we’d love to share it with you and tell you about all its benefits!
