A good food relationship goes WAY beyond just being able to eat donuts without any guilt 🍩
Our relationship with food is formed over decades of learnt experience and parental/environmental influence that goes deeper than the food itself.
It can be a reflection of your self worth, or how you cope with emotions that feel way out of your control.
It also doesn’t heal over night.
It took decades for the patterns to form and it can take years to chip away at those learnt behaviours.
Especially when there is so much information out there that praises diet culture and its actions.
Sometimes we don’t even realize that we have a poor relationship with food until we actually take the time to unpack where a lot of our habits or behaviours originated from.
And that process can be uncomfortable and messy.
So be patient, and kind with yourself.
ANY work you do is not only worth it, but a massive milestone to be proud of, as you reject the things that no longer serve you ❤️
We’re on your team.
