A good food relationship goes WAY beyond just being able to eat donuts without any guilt đŸ©

Our relationship with food is formed over decades of learnt experience and parental/environmental influence that goes deeper than the food itself.

It can be a reflection of your self worth, or how you cope with emotions that feel way out of your control.

It also doesn’t heal over night.

It took decades for the patterns to form and it can take years to chip away at those learnt behaviours.

Especially when there is so much information out there that praises diet culture and its actions.

Sometimes we don’t even realize that we have a poor relationship with food until we actually take the time to unpack where a lot of our habits or behaviours originated from.

And that process can be uncomfortable and messy.

So be patient, and kind with yourself.

ANY work you do is not only worth it, but a massive milestone to be proud of, as you reject the things that no longer serve you ❀

👉 There are no such things as good or bad foods.

👉Willpower is not a thing

👉 Being thin does not = healthy always

Ok here’s the thing, when I first started my journey I was always in search of something to follow when it came to food


Something rigid, something that if I JUST obeyed would get me snatched🙃

I would follow a strict plan for about 4 days and then get bored. Like the plan on paper looked like exactly what I needed to become my best self and if I just ate the same depressing meals day after day I would reach my destination. Don’t worry that it didn’t account for going out because that’s not going to be a thing🙃🙃🙃

Sound familiar????

I feel like I need to tell you that you are much more capable at building meals you will ACTUALLY enjoy and ACTUALLY make progress with than you think you are😘

What years of dieting on and off does is it breaks that trust with yourself and ruins your mind body connection, causing you to think you always need something rigid to follow ( so they can sell you your next meal plan you’ll stick to for 3 days then come off of it and binge).

Taking time to learn HOW to eat is a process where you go through different phases unlearning everything you’ve been taught to believe about nutrition from dieting like:

đŸ˜€Bread is BAD

đŸ˜€ That one meal out is going to RUIN everything

đŸ˜€You MUST restrict

đŸ˜€Your meals HAVE to be boring

BUT once you LEARN how to eat you only have to do it once.

Building meals that help get you to your body goals that you will ACTUALLY enjoy and don’t take an eternity to plan and prep for is more simple than you think, we’ve just been overcomplicating it.

As soon as I learned HOW to eat for my goals:

💃I stopped binging

💃I stopped restricting myself from foods I enjoyed

💃My workouts improved ten fold because I ACTUALLY had energy

💃I feel the most confident I’ve ever felt and I am no longer afraid of “rUiNiNg My ProGreSS”

Learning how to eat doesn’t have to be scary when done right I promise. You can learn how to make meals you enjoy so your weight loss or muscle gain journey can be enjoyable and smooth. 💕

Someone in Hot & Healed Edition💃

⏰ 6 am: You wake up on a Monday morning feeling refreshed and no longer dreading the “Ill start on Monday” feeling because your weekend trip away didn’t send you off the rails and you get up with a pep in your step

⏰7 am: You’re getting dressed for work and something calls you to that cute dress in the back of your closet because it’s sunny out and you put in on. You’re smiling ear to ear because it’s the first time that you’ve felt confident in it in years.

⏰9am: You grab your breakfast you’ve prepped and it’s ready for you in the fridge and you think to yourself you don’t know why you used to skip breakfast all those years.

⏰12pm: It’s lunch time, you go sit outside eating your lunch and you see you packed yourself a delicious cookie for after. You enjoy your cookie and keep it moving because you know that one cookie did not derail your whole day of eating.

⏰4pm: You’re on the way home from work, you catch a glimpse of yourself in the shop mirror and you stop to think to yourself in your head “who is THAT😍”. You’re proud at how much nicer you speak to yourself and for the first time you feel confident in your skin.

⏰7pm: You go to cook your dinner and it takes you no time at all because you know how to build your meals and you don’t stress about what to make.

⏰8pm: You decide to go for a nice sunset walk while listening to this weeks group coaching call because you want to kill 2 birds with one stone and connect with other badass ladies while getting in your steps

⏰9pm: You’re in your bed, feeling confident and accomplished at how simple your fitness and food work for you. You’re girlfriends text you “drinks and dinner tomorrow?” You don’t hesitate to respond “YES” because you no longer have to choose between living your life and getting results

There is so much information out there about what you should be doing and should be eating to get the best and quickest results possible
 a lot of it is bull đŸ’©

In fact constantly feeling like you’re sifting through it all can make you too overwhelmed to even start.

The decision to ditch diets is freaking HARD

Then you get to a place where you get to have so much freedom and control when you see diets don’t work and break free from diet culture for good!

It’s hard, trying a new approach and breaking free from the norm

It’s hard to put in the work and consistency on your own only just to end up confused and frustrated

So many women who stress about food everyday do NOT realize how quickly they can free themselves out of the shackles of food noise and cravings.

Here is a major 🔑 that always seems to be happening:

So many women are constantly hopping from diet to diet and can’t seem to break their binging.

They’ve tried EVERYTHING, all the diets, all the things

They are so over being stuck in a cycle that looks like this:

*wake up*

“Yesterday was a mess, I’m going to be good today.”

👉Breakfast: oats and water, no toast because toast is “BAD”

👉Lunch: a plain salad, barely any dressing because dressing is “FATTENING”

*sneaks one doughnut on the counter at work because they’ve been walking past it all day*

Then comes THE part


“There’s something wrong with me, it’s just that I have zero willpower. Today is already ruined - I may as well just have more”

And then comes the race to get as much of those “bad” foods in before you promise you will take them away tomorrow and stick to your bland salads FORSURE this timeđŸ«Ł

They wake up each morning and commit to getting back “on track”, but the cycle just keeps going

The main problem is they don’t understand the root cause of this cycle

We were in this cycle for YEARS

We only broke free once we unpacked WHY we felt so out of control around food every single day
