Lunar Yoga Leicester Affordable dynamic yoga in Leicester, UK. Sun Power Yoga trained. Coincidentally ran by my first ever yoga teacher I had when I was 15 years old!

I’ve been practicing yoga for over 20 years and in 2015 I finally completed my 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training with Sun Power Yoga. I’ve since taught in London, UK and then in Vancouver, Canada where I lived for almost six years. Having recently had my first child, I’ve made the move back to my home town of Leicester after many many years away and I’m now bringing yoga to my local community. My love of yoga has seen me through so many stages of my life, through my turbulent teenage years, life in the fast lane in London, moving and living in a new country thousands of miles away from anything I knew and most recently helping me through pregnancy, birth and now being a mother. I truly believe yoga has helped me live a content life even through some of the hardest times and I love to share that knowledge with others. I’ve also been witness to the profound effects yoga therapy can have on those living with special needs and disabilities. Having worked at The Special Yoga Centre in London for a number of years. Yoga goes way beyond keeping fit and flexible. I absolutely feel that anyone and everyone would benefit from having a yoga practice in their lives. Whatever that may look like. It doesn't have to look fancy, you don’t have to bend into a pretzel and you don’t have to do it everyday to reap the benefits. There are many simple yogic practices that could make a huge difference in your life. I can’t wait to walk the path with you on your yoga journey! Come and join me in class. It's my last class teaching in London on Monday. Have to say, I'm very sad about it but also really pleased that I've found someone to take over the class. So yoga will continue for all you Tufnell Parkers!

On another note - very excited to see that the Prime Minister of Canada is a yogi! Can you imagine David Cameron on a yoga mat!?

Happy long weekend all!

If you didn't already hear, I'm leaving London and the UK! Eeek! My partner, dog and I are off on an adventure across the world to Vancouver, Canada!

Sadly that means that my London classes will be coming to an end. Our last class in Tufnell Park is Monday 18 April.

I'm a yoga teacher by night but by day I work in an office, sat in front of a computer and in one spot for most of this time. My body really suffers and I know I'm not alone. Hunched over shoulders, strained eyes and general tiredness.

I try to do a bit of bending and stretching whilst at my desk to ease my back pain and stiffness. This video is great for some ideas - I'd really recommend to any one who works at a desk all day. Try it today.
