I recorded our choir practising one night and put it to a little reel.

It reminded me of good times - so there’s a lot of Costa Rica and we’re going back next year so pls forgive the small call to action at the end!

Yesterday my friend asked me what I’m doing to honour Truth & Reconciliation day and I realized I hadn’t planned anything.

I’m not proud to say that I realized how quickly I fell into complacency.

I’m sharing because maybe you can relate…

For me, it’s better to be honest and aware of my mistakes and pick myself up and try again. And do better.

I’ve been gifted friendship, openness, knowledge and incredible sharing from many different nations across this land. My teacher Vicki Kelly of the
Anishinaabe Taught me Metissage and building a relationship to land. All along the coast up to Haida Gwaii I’ve been hosted, welcomed and blessed, like every other stranger, with potlatches and ceremony.

This post is photos of the gift of the land I live on - in the unceeded territories - in the last 2 days. So much to be grateful for especially the custodians who carry the traditions forward with bravery.

Prayers for
stolen children and their ancestors.

And the reminder that there’s more to do.
