BC Children's Kelty Mental Health Resource Centre is designed to support BC families to find and use the resources they need in order to make informed decisions and gain access to appropriate services. The Centre, located at BC Children's Hospital in Vancouver but accessible from anywhere in the province, is a free, actual and virtual resource for all BC families. The Centre offers information and

resources on a wide range of mental health and substance use issues affecting children and youth in our province. These include, but are not limited to; depression, anxiety, attention deficit and behavioural problems, child/youth eating disorders and substance use. Kelty Mental Health Resources is part of an integrated provincial strategy to improve health literacy in mental health and addictions in British Columbia. The strategy was developed by PHSA BC Children's Hospital Health Literacy team in consultation with Regional Health Authorities, BC Ministry of Health, BC Ministry of Children and Family Development, BC Partners for Mental Health and Addictions Information and other community organizations. Kelty Mental Health Resources can offer:
• help from a professional or a parent peer support worker
• information on mental health & substance use
• resources on eating disorders for all ages
• options for support & treatment in BC
• support for those struggling with mental health & substance use issues—children, youth, parents & families
• tips for self-help & prevention
• free educational events for families, educators & clinicians
