In this video, Kaylen's mom remembers the grief of losing her son, and tells us what kept her going, despite the pain of that grief. Kaylen's mom is a member of our bereavement program's Advisory Committee, a group of individuals who offer their guidance to the Crisis Centre's bereavement program. We are so grateful for their counsel, wisdom, and support as our bereavement program continues to grow.

Earlier this year, we published a guide on our website called “First Steps After Losing Someone to Su***de.” We hope it will be helpful for anyone who has experienced a su***de loss or anyone supporting someone who has. Su***de grief can be complex and overwhelming. With that in mind, we have created this practical resource that provides tangible, simple steps to help individuals get through the period immediately after the loss.

You can download the guide now by going to www.crisiscentre.bc.ca/grief-support - it can be found under the Grief Resources sidebar.

Please share this with anyone who might find it useful.

If you have any tips to add, please share them in the comments.
