It is not just stretching on a mat. The right Pilates program can improve hip stability by strengthening the deep hip and core muscles that support the joint. It helps restore movement balance, correct compensations, and improve alignment so your body moves more efficiently.
It also builds strength in a low impact, controlled way, so you can load the joint safely without flaring things up.
Tag your Pilates buddy and come give it a try together 🧘♀️

Climbers put a huge demand on their shoulders, not just strength, but control, stability, and awareness through every position 🧗♂️
In this session, our physio Wil is working with pro climber and Olympian Sean McColl, using the kettlebell bottoms up press to build true shoulder stability. This exercise challenges grip, core control, and coordination while teaching the shoulder to stay steady under load 💪
That kind of control matters on the wall. It supports stronger movement, better efficiency, and more confidence in demanding positions.
Training smart means looking after the joints that work hardest so you can keep climbing well and feeling good ✨
Curious how this could fit into your training or rehab? Reach out and let’s talk about what your shoulders need 👋

Inside a session with our physio Wil and pro climber and Olympian Sean McColl, we worked on a self release for the subscapularis. This is a deep shoulder muscle that can contribute to that tight, pinchy, or restricted feeling overhead, especially in high demand sports like climbing 💪
The focus is gentle pressure along the armpit side of the shoulder blade, paired with slow breathing and small arm movements to encourage the muscle to let go. It should feel like productive pressure, never sharp or forced.
If you notice tingling, numbness, or a zinging sensation down the arm, that is your cue to stop and check in with your physio ⚠️
Want guidance on how to do this safely and effectively for your own shoulders? Send us a message and we are happy to help 📩

Back pain is rarely one size fits all. What helps one person might not help another, and that’s why understanding what’s actually driving your symptoms matters. 💡
Some backs need mobility, some need strength, and sometimes it’s about taking a closer look before pushing through. The right approach can change how recovery feels and how long it lasts. ✅
Feeling unsure about your back or stuck guessing? Reach out and let’s figure it out together.

If you’ve been glued to a desk or riding a lot, your chest muscles can get tight and pull your shoulders forward. This quick doorway stretch is an easy reset.
↪️Pop your forearm on the doorframe, elbow around shoulder height.
↪️Step through slowly until you feel a stretch across your chest.
↪️Keep your shoulders down, breathe, hold 20 to 30 seconds each side.
↪️Do it twice.
If it pinches in the front of your shoulder, back off and lower your elbow a bit.
Not sure you’re feeling it in the right spot? Comment CHECK and we’ll reply with quick form tips.
