Self-abandonment is the deepest injury of trauma.
"All of us have fractured in moments of distress, shoving aside parts of ourselves that evoke pain or unease. It is these fractures that activate and reactivate throughout our lives, shaping our interactions, experiences, and communities. They show up as mirrors in our relationships, reflecting old wounds from their point of origin. They surface as profound loneliness, restlessness, and discontent, echoing through our lives and rippling into future generations." - Unfractured (out soon!)
