October 10th is World Mental Health Day. Mental health should not be a luxury but a right. As defined by the World Health Organization: "mental health is a state of mental well-being that enables people to cope with life stresses, realize their abilities, learn well, work effectively, and contribute to their community. It is more than just the absence of mental disorders." So mental health is more than just feeling okay or not awful, but an optimal state that supports our greatest potential as human beings.
