Submission deadline: June 15th, 2025 at 11:59PM
Medicine is more than science—it is also story, emotion, and human connection. Our upcoming issue invites exploration of the dynamic intersection between art and medicine, from the role of creativity in clinical practice to the use of arts-based therapies and pedagogical tools. We welcome submissions that investigate how the arts can deepen clinical insight, foster empathy, and illuminate the lived experience of illness and care. We also encourage reflections on how medicine has shaped artistic expression—or, at times, become an art form in itself. Contributions may include original research, critical essays, reflective narratives, and interdisciplinary perspectives. Join us in examining how the creative and the clinical continually inform, challenge, and enrich one another.

In British Columbia alone in 2023 we saw 2250 wildfires, a significant increase from previous years. There is a wealth of evidence indicating that exposure to nature has significant positive impacts on human health, including mental, physical, and social health. As climate change alters the environment around us, we are beginning to discover its impacts on individual and public health. In this editorial, we will explore the complex relationship between planetary and human health, and discuss how we as future physicians can help the health of the planet and our patients.
