Last in alphabetical order (but certainly not in our hearts), we have our final roundup of Passions Gala restaurants --->
Why I write these restaurant descriptions *right before lunch*, I don't know. Our immense gratitude to:
Provence Vancouver - evoking the seafood-forward, exquisite charm of a Southern France bistro, this restaurant dresses its daily catches in the summery, sun-soaked flavours of the Mediterranean.
Selene Aegean Bistro - when this Aegean bistro opened its doors in my neighbourhood last year, I was first in line. Grilled branzino, mussels swimming in spicy butter, tahini-and-mint-spiked cukes... dishes fit for the (Greek) gods.
Sushi Hil - Vancouver often gets tapped as a *the* sushi destination outside Japan, a distinction we owe in no small part to this restaurant, which serves masterfully prepared morsels of top-tier seafood and rice (look at the drape on that tuna!)
Wildlight Kitchen + Bar - this Michelin-recommended restaurant is pure West Coast cookery, taking the best ideas from various world cuisines and firing them through the prism of our woods and waters. The results are exciting and delicious.
Zoomak Korean Tavern - Modern Korean at its finest: spicy, rich, punchy, sticky, unapologetic and toeing an impressive line between elegance and all-out indulgence. Grab a soju here and "짠 Jjan" to the experience!
