We learn about our world through our senses. In interacting with our environment we are constantly exploring and creating new ways of moving, smelling, tasting, looking and listening and exploring the properties each of these basic sense have. Those who are not able to experience these type of senses on a regular basis, due to varying disabilities they may have, often do not get the same opportunities for exploration in their environment due to vary disabilities they may have; whether that be due to physical, emotional, intellectual or simply due to lack of stimulation in their current environment.
