Our RMT and lactation consultant, Catherine recently visited a client’s home—not just to provide care, but to transform the space and support the whole journey of recovery and motherhood.

She helped reset the client’s living and feeding routine, shared practical life tips, and reorganized the bathroom and bedroom for better function and comfort.

Catherine didn’t just meet expectations—she set a new standard. One that’s hard to match. 💪 ❤️

As a brand new young immigrant, survival was important. I needed to support myself, to find stability in a place where everything was new—language, culture, expectations. The pressure was real, and life was not easy. But within me was a deep desire to heal, to care, and to build a life rooted in purpose. I found that path in nursing.

And that was twenty years ago, I graduated from my first nursing program(LPN). This career has done more than teach me about medicine—it taught me the universal language of compassion, kindness, deep human connection, and being a service to others.

This career also gives me a second family—my fellow nurses. We looked out for each other. We shared long shifts, tough days, laughter, and a secret code—one not written in textbooks or spoken out loud, but felt in every act of care.

That code is LOVE.

And every time I put on my scrubs, I’m reminded:

I found my place— where we feel at one.

I am home.

🍼 BC Leads in Cesarean Deliveries! 🍼

🌟From 2018-2022, British Columbia had the highest rate of Cesarean section deliveries in Canada (excluding Quebec) at 38.6%. While C-sections prioritize maternal and fetal wellbeing, their recovery is often underestimated.

⭐️TCM: After a C-section, the incision cuts through the Ren Mai (Conception Vessel), disrupting vital energy flow that requires restoration. As Acupuncturists, we offer specialized treatment for C-section scars to aid recovery.

Wear comfortable & loose clothing for your appointment (you can bring shorts and a tank top to change into if you’d like). We also encourage clients to bring their own sheet/blanket/extra pillow/ Please bring cash for payment or etrans to gaoacukindness@gmail.com.

Once you arrive, please select a seat in the front area. Serve yourself with some tea.

04.
Take off your shoes and/or jacket in the designated area just outside the room. Turn off any devices before entering our main room.

05.
Expect the session to be about 60 minutes long – this includes a brief intake, needle insertion, and time for you to relax and heal with the acupuncture points.

After tune in with the sound, the Chinese Medicine Practitioners will do assessment on each individual and determine the treatment plans including needle insertion.

Treatment will be conducted either in a seated chair position or in the treatment room lying down depending on client’s needs.

During the session, sound bath will continue be delivered in the background.

For payment, you can place the cash in the envelope provided & into the teapot on our table or etrans. This can be done before or at the end of your session.

07.
Take it easy for the rest of the evening– stay hydrated, nourish with whole foods, let go of the stress you have carried for others, and regain the clarity and fresh feeling.
