I had a birthday last weekend in the woods, building shelter, sleeping in it, eating sheep eyeballs 👀 so many firsts! Surrounded by community. Song around the fire 🔥 Held in the beauty of it all. ☺️ with

I’ve since driven hours back to the city with an expired license (whooops) jumped on the plane with the same 3 wool layers from my woods sleeping night and landed back in my second home. The sweeeet sweet tropics. 🇲🇽I truly feel so much more settled in this climate.

Here are some highlights from my past year. Folks say it just gets better and better, and I’m starting to believe it 😉

3 years ago today the sweetest pup came into my life and changed my world in soo many ways. If you have ever had a dog you know the phenomenal bond I’m speaking about. The bond with this guy has been much greater and impactful than I ever imagined. I’m not with him today as I’ve just landed back in Mexico (the same land in which I found and scooped him up) seems fitting. Thank you, thank you for stumbling into my world and being by my side so lovingly and consistently. I adore you 🥰🥰🥰

Exciting news rolling into 2024….

I’ll be having my first ever booth at TABOO this year. Ready to chat allll about my fav topics- S€X and BIRTH. WHY and HOW they intersect. Why PLEASURE aids in birth… and how I can be of support to you.

I will also be joining a q***r owned birth and postpartum doula agency!

I’m looking forward to continuing to expand my journey of support and welcome new life in 2024. 🥰

I admit- the lifestyle of a birth doula is not easy.

It’s undeniably challenging to be on call for a month or longer. Phone ALWAYS with you. With reception. Sober. Present. Cup filled physically and emotionally. Bag packed. Personal responsibilities ready to be taken care of on a moments notice- ppl with kids- how do you do it?!)

All for a relatively small payout.

It’s a lot of energy. I’ve had to learn to fill my own cup. And then fill it even more. I’ve learned this the hard way. Ive felt what a lack of support and debrief feels like post birth..

I’ve thought about walking away. But this isn’t something I can walk away from. 😜

I am a birth doula. Just like I am a dancer. Just like I am q***r.

It does not matter how many births, their outcomes, how recently I was on stage or who I choose as a partner. These are some of my identities and I hold them so close.

Female anatomy, pleasure, birth all live in me. It’s like the language of my being and I don’t know how I could turn it fully off. 🤷🏻‍♀️

For each and every family that has chosen me to support you in the sacred and intimate experience of expanding your family- I am eternally grateful. 🙏❤️

You have been great teachers.
