🤍Our Youth Grief & Loss Support Group is starting on OCTOBER 28TH!

❤️‍🩹This free 7-week program is for young people grieving the loss of someone due to the drug crisis. It offers a compassionate space to share experiences, find connection, and explore healing through creative expression.

Start Date: Tuesday, October 28th, 2025
Sessions: Tuesdays, 6:30–8:30 PM (Oct 28th – Dec 16th)
Location: Drive Youth Employment Services, 2106 Commercial Dr., Vancouver
Eligibility: Youth ages 16–30 impacted by the toxic drug crisis

📌What to Expect
Supportive, inclusive space led by two Registered Clinical Counsellors (RCCs)
Creative, youth-centered approaches to grief support
Art-based activities and open conversations
Snacks provided + food card for participants

It was an honour to be part of National Day for Truth and Reconciliation with Vancouver Aboriginal Child & Family Services Society (VACFSS) ,Vancouver Aboriginal Health Society, Vancouver-Aboriginal Community-Policing, Britannia Community Services Centre, Frog Hollow Neighbourhood House and Sage Nation Society.

We appreciate the efforts of the organizers, vendors, performers, volunteers, community partners, and community who made this powerful event possible. This was an important remembrance of Survivors and a beautiful gathering.

We look forward to continue to ensure these spaces where Indigenous voices continue to lead as custodians and knowledge keepers 🧡

We deeply appreciate the Lunch and Learn facilitated by our Indigenous Health Promoter, which delved further into understanding Indigenous mistrust in healthcare.

A key takeaway was the concept of ‘Two-Eyed Seeing’, which involves integrating Indigenous medicine and ways of knowing with Western medicine to create a holistic approach within healthcare.

Thanks to our Health Promoter and staff for coming together for this session. We look forward to continuing our journey towards true reconciliation and health equity, and stand committed to creating an environment of trust and cultural safety for Indigenous community members at REACH.
