Devon is a Senior Physio and Mentor, and teaches on our online courses. ⁠

Devon is OG team cheerful - our longest standing physio! She has supported and cheered the clinic through all its growth over the first 6 years and we couldn’t have done it without her!

Devon has a gentle and committed approach. She has a heart of gold and always goes above and beyond for her clients. ⁠

She always has time to support the team as they learn alongside her, and is a great teacher to our external mentees and course participants.

When not in clinic, you can find her raising her running game or crafting at home!

Lindsay is a Lead Physiotherapist and, as such, works predominantly in a consulting role for our most complex clients, and supports our team with the same. ⁠

Lindsay has a talent for problem-solving and finding the root cause of the issue. She loves teaching and learning and is a skilled manual and exercise therapist.⁠

She’s a mum of two and has the most fun sense of style. If you’re lucky, you’ll catch her in clinic in her avocado cardigan 🥑

Trish is our Clinic Director, Lead Physiotherapist and mentor.⁠

Clinically, she predominantly works as a consultant on our most complex cases and supports the rest of the team with the same. Trish is the one the team go to to double-check their thinking and get help when they need it. ⁠

She mentors the team individually, supporting each physio’s unique growth journey. She also leads our team training and drives new clinical services. ⁠
⁠
Trish has a love for research, especially anything that breaks ground for female athletes, and loves translating complex new findings into clinically relevant insights for us.

Trish’s steady presence and example are the foundation the rest of the team builds upon, and we’re lucky to have her 🥇

Anniken founded The Cheerful Pelvis to provide a dedicated space to support both staff and clients in the complexities and delicacies of pelvic health care.⁠

Having built a team that is better than her at all they do, Anniken spends her time working on the big picture for the clinic; how to continually evolve and improve the care we offer clients. ⁠

Anniken is passionate about the interaction between staff wellbeing, communication skills, and the quality of service we offer clients. She has built innovative, cheerful operations with this in mind, and consults and teaches in other clinics to do the same. ⁠See if this piqued your interest!

Our admin crew are an absolute dream and we’re looking for a special person to add to our team.

We’re hiring for 20 hours a week over 3 shifts.

Our admin team work really hard. We’re a busy clinic and they manage a huge volume of customer service and admin talks with big smiles on their faces.

Applicants must be able to work at a high pace, independently and efficiently.

We start at $25 hourly and offer extended benefits.

This week we say so long to a special piece of Cheerful..

The person with all the secrets, all the stories, and literally the person who made our beautiful new space possible.
chbn joined us as our ops manager just over 3 years ago and brought fun, heart, connection, clarity, systems and a whole lot of laughter into our space.

She has been a rock to us all, and brought unparalleled support and positive energy to the leadership team.

Her positive attitude is unstoppable - she has literally put the ‘cheerful’ in ‘the cheerful pelvis’ from the moment she stepped through the door 💛💛💛

You will be dearly missed Marine! Not only by team cheerful but also the clients you cheerlead so hard for!

2025 was a fun one for us!

No crazy growth and projects! We were able to lean into the foundations of great clinical care that we’ve established and build on it with some added cheerfulness!!

A huge highlight had been the success of our classes and taking part in some awesome community events.

An enormous thank you to team cheerful for always giving it their all! You really are a dream team!

Wishing the team a lovely, well earned break as we close this afternoon until January 2nd!!

And wishing our clients and community a cheerful holiday season and new year too!

Making learning cheerful 💛

Our weekly in-services are the cornerstone of what makes us, us.

We get to stay on top of our game, support and challenge each other, and build the connections that make our team who we are.

We know that no one approach or practitioner is right for every client, so our goal is to play pelvic heath like a team sport. We think that building a strong team creates a service that’s greater than the sum of our parts.

In our case, team work really does make the dream work.

Our Pelvic Health Fundamentals course is back!!

This course was designed to help bridge the gap between general ortho / physio school training and the pelvic floor internals courses.

We provide practical frameworks designed to help you be confident in your own reasoning with all the typical presentations you’ll see.

The course has been refined over several years of external and internal cohorts and we see every time what a difference it makes in people’s competence and confident with pelvic health clients.

If you feel like you need a helping hand to find footing in your practice, we’d love to have you!

Rehabilitative ultrasound imaging is an awesome tool for visualizing how muscles are working internally 🩻

This workshop focused on using it through the abs, which is useful for assessing how the abs are firing together- this is particularly relevant with diastasis and postpartum healing!

We can also see how full the bladder is (or isn’t) which is helpful with bladder urgency.

It’s especially cool that we can use it in different positions, which is great for making sure your muscles are working well when you really need them to, not just when lying on the treatment table!

Our shiny new clinic needed a shiny new online look to match!

A huge shout out to the team that bought this to life!

I had been working with for the past 18m to help with clinic marketing and they had always been phenomenal.

Marketing can feel so sticky, especially in our field where there’s so much nuance and selling health is just 🤮

Anyway, Abi and Elysse from helped me find a way that felt authentic and values aligned. They were in it with me (especially through postpartum and becoming a repeat offender for forgetting meetings 🙈) and they truly became part of the team.

They helped me strategize for our new branding and site and find an affordable way to meet a big goal (no small feat). They wrote the copy and captured who we are and what we want to say, which is so important when you’re speaking about a topic that’s so misunderstood and undervalued.

Helen .creative did the rebrand and she’s endlessly patient and positive. She walked with me through the twists and turns of my decision making, and it’s very clear her goal is to get it 💯 and to make sure you’re happy. Her experience is demonstrated with how quickly she grasps your thoughts, and how quickly and accurately she executes on them.

Lastly, as Helen said, Cheerful is all about our people. So team cheerful need to be central to our branding. Jen .co captured us in all our fun and expertise, and the relational sweetness that makes our clinical days go round.

Teamwork really did make the dream work on this one.

I had always loved our branding, but I feel like the clinic grew up a bit over the last 6 years, and this fresh look represents that.

Thanks again team! And to team cheerful for their contributions and volunteering with all their energy for the shoot. You’re the best!
