Kelp is critical for coastal B.C. Does your community know what a thriving marine ecosystem looks like?

At Sabai Thai Spa, our partnership with veritree extends beneath the surface to crucial kelp restoration projects at sites like Hotham Sound. This isn't just about throwing seeds into the ocean—it's a detailed scientific effort.

To ensure success, we conduct survivability checks using remotely operated vehicle (ROV) surveys across our restoration transects. This lets us monitor the real impact of your support. What we've spotted in our last deep dive:

Key Flora: Robust growth of Bull Kelp, Seersucker Kelp, Sea Lettuce, and Turkish Towel.

Thriving Fauna: We've observed Green Urchin, Red Urchin, Leather Star, and Red Sea Cucumber, with occasional, thrilling sightings of the Pacific Harbour Seal and Giant Pacific Chiton!

The healthier our kelp forests are, the healthier our waters—and our world—become. Thank you for making self-care a force for marine conservation.
