Autumn shows its signs not just with falling leaves 🍂 but also white flowers that emerge from the parched earth (or sand). These are the messangers of shortened days, softer sun, and the first rains on the not-so-far-horizon.
At the beach, the Sea Daffodil (is such a flower. The flowers come out first, the leaves will appear later with the rains, which will water its charcoal-black seeds and provide it with an extra boost of life force to store for the next summer.
Beach Lilies are impressive, large white flowers that are especially fragrant from sunset onwards, attracting night pollinators. These scent is heady, slightly spicy white-floral with a green undertone that is simultaneously refreshing and melancholy.
The perfume Ayala Moriel created, inspired by these flowers does not include this rare and protected species, but is an hommage to their scent on a backdrop of cold, wet sand. Heady, floral, and a touch salty, with notes of ylang ylang, ginger lily and siamwood. It is all at once sensual, floral, clean and refreshing.
