It’s been a delightfully busy couple of weeks—finally found some time to return to our page for the next “Mystery Reading”.

Recently, I’ve started trying out 4-card draws… definitely found myself encountering an amusing learning curve when reading in my typical free-style narrative. (As opposed to traditional spreads where each card has a specific designation.) More cards = more complete message or more complicated one? 🫣😅 Bookings will remain in my token 3-style free-style but we will have some fun experimenting in the mystery readings as I have been doing in my personal ones!

Interpretation:
⚡️What a terrific reminder that when working closely with others—loved ones especially—it can be important to dial down the emotional intensity when expressing contrary opinions or giving direction / making requests / delivering criticism in hopes to avoid triggering defensiveness or resentments or feelings of disrespect in the other that will no doubt be difficult to separate from relations outside of the work.
⚡️Taking “breaks” from each other, to deescalate a challenging conversation, or to implement self-care or social outlet apart from your shared lives, are both important strategies to prevent too much pressure from building in the relationship when spending so much time together.
Sometimes, all that is needed is an aptly timed, mindful walk—“saunter slowly”—around the block, to clear your head and open your heart again to figuring out a way through things together—being cooperative instead of combative.
⚡️Don’t forget, being right or achieving a career milestone is rarely as fulfilling as the experience of a loving and committed relationship—having their safe haven at home to return. Welcome to this week’s mystery reading! With each passing week that I am able to connect with someone unknown out there who has a message they really need to hear, I have grown increasingly grateful for this gift of being able to work with the Universal magick spoken through the cards. I feel connected like never before to All That Is. Thank you for empowering me to empower others.

♏️ We inquire to my Rider-Wait deck—the foundation of my tarot practice—for a first revelation of our mystery read today:

Interpretation:
⚡️There were two close friends (or brothers);
one unfortunately passed away and the other is left behind feeling some sort of way about something he has inherited…

ℹ️ Rarely is the notorious DEATH card of the tarot indication of actual physical death in a reading. So I was a bit taken aback today to find that here in fact it DOES signify the passing of someone. The mirror-like image of the Knight of Pentacles / DEATH cards next to each other struck a chord deep within me and I suddenly knew this to be true.

♏️ Nonetheless, we ask for more clarity on the situation—verification of my intuitive interpretation—to be sure such a serious translation was accurate:

I felt inclined to draw a fourth card to extend the meaning:

Interpretation:
⚡️The deceased young man was a gentle or kind soul; the image of the tomb / coffin on the 4 of swords verifies well for us I am correct that he has passed—a death that has left his friend / brother in troubled contemplation; he feels like he was (or is) sneaking around about something…

ℹ️ Note how the Universe has repeatedly shown the deceased friend with tarot cards that implicitly represent him as a “good” person—the energy of Page of Cups image is sweet and innocent, and the previous Knight of Pentacles has the vibe of a dependable friend you can count on. It is not a coincidence he is depicted in this way: this is how our mystery client views his friend. In contrast, looking at the first draw, he is shown as the Page of Swords, a character who generally appears less likeable or approachable; a kind of grim or tense person. This because he views himself as the “Bad Guy”.

🤔Even before I transition to the next question / draw, an errant card drops from my hands—it is the Queen of Wands. I do not take a photo because I decide to discount it from the reading as I had not even formed any intention yet for the next part of the query series.

♏️ When ready, we then move on to ask for the major piece of missing information—why does our mystery client feel he is being “sneaky”?

Interpretation:
⚡️Somebody is either looking like a fool or feeling like a fool and it has to do with a relationship—THIS is what he has been contemplating!
⚡️He has been “sneaking” around with his deceased friend / brother’s wife / girlfriend.

🫣 I cannot believe (well, yes I can!) that the cards purposely pushed the Queen on me to complete the message of the previous draw; then because I did not heed the gesture, Universe insisted on replaying the exact two cards in the next draw to insist on its message. (Yes, it’s a pretty key bit of information, so rightfully so I was chased down to take notice dammit lol.)🫣

♏️ We understand now why this friend is feeling so pensive and lost—we ask the cards if they have a message for he who feels such guilt:

⚡️During this time of grief, your presence in this woman’s life has been experienced by her as a “knight in shining armour”.

Interpretation:
⚡️This has been keeping you up at night—understandably!

♏️ A good time then for us to switch over to the Oracle cards for some additional guidance in a tough predicament:

Interpretation:
⚡️I feel like this first card has a double meaning for you today; it is telling the two of you, who have found something to honour in each other, that you can and will also honour your friend, and lost love, together.
You are NOT dishonouring him.
⚡️Despite this being an unconventional, and potentially controversial, way to find LOVE, that is the kind of magick you could have here between you if you allow yourself to accept it.
⚡️You are likely worrying deeply about what others will think of this relationship if it becomes public knowledge. This card seems to insist that you be proud to been seen together and to be together—whenever you both feel the time is right.

Interpretation:
⚡️There is some aspect of this woman and your shared circumstance, that is here to teach you about your boundaries and self-love. Perhaps you are keeping a degree of distance because of the guilty conscience belief that you are undeserving and bad for your feelings for her? That said, I will not elaborate on what I don’t know—my interpretation or the card subtext may or may not be suited to your scenario. Look to yourself for this wisdom and the corresponding details. You will know.
⚡️However, it seems that such practice and it’s related achievements will bless you spiritually with the gifts you were both born to receive and born to give.

I would like to post about specific tarot cards on occasion—share any significance to me and my journey, if conversationally remarkable anyways, while casually teaching a little also about the generalized or common meanings they hold for many readers / readings.

A recent reading done for myself a few days ago was the inspiration for this! I wanted to gain some insight into the dynamics of my young family and our collective journey together. On this night, my hand produced THE MOON card from my Rider-Waite deck, in reference to my twin daughters. It momentarily took my breath away—a little bit of awe and a lot of stifled giggles, because I cannot afford to wake the tiny sleeping giants if I hope to get any work done at night! This particular card is wondrously significant in the short time in history that our earthly lives have become entwined. It is a perfect story to share with our Eighth House audience, and some day, it will be the perfect time to share this with my daughters, too.

Their story starts even before I was pregnant with them. It began as a precognitive flash one night, as I read in bed with a tiny flashlight next to my sleeping son. It was the strange and sudden sensation of mind and body that I’ve come to know signals a EUREKA moment of intuition for me; this time, I just knew without a doubt, that we would have another child with us soon—a little girl!
We had no actual plans to grow our family. There had been some limited discussion before the birth of our son about the future size of our family, but since then, actually living the harsh reality of transitioning a family from two to three, we’d practically retired the idea of a sibling.
But suddenly I knew different. So I simply waited for events to unfold.
A couple months later, my partner “surprised” me without behest—suggested that we should in fact bring a fourth member into the family fold.
Or fray.
Dependent on the day, really. 😅🫣🤷🏻‍♀️

Soon after I got my positive test, I began to wonder if my intuitive gender prediction would be true…again! I’d actually experienced the same peculiar rush of foreknowledge when I was in early pregnancy with my firstborn. The long-awaited Anatomy Scan at 18 Weeks proved that we were having a healthy baby—confirmed also we were having a BOY!
This time, I thought I would try out something new for added amusement while counting down to the big ultrasound. I brought out my tarot cards to ask them to confirm the matter of gender for my unborn child.
I knew that pregnant women sometimes like to ask a makeshift Pendulum—also known as the notorious “Ring Test”—about their early pregnancy’s gender. So in my mind it was kind of like facilitating the same game through the tarot.
I know the Universe has my back when speaking through the cards, a trusted source when seeking for all kinds of answers; that said, I really did not know how the deck would respond, how it might express gender, other than to make the assumption that the answer would likely be one of the many male or female personalities of the major or minor arcana.
Imagine my initial surprise and curiosity when I withdrew THE MOON (of the Major Arcana) from my Rider-Waite deck.
It gave me pause. Then a smile.
Not limited to the tarot, but in many realms of ancient practice and spiritual inquiry, the Moon is a representation of Feminine Energy and Qualities, while the Sun is her Masculine contrast. (Or if your preference is gender-neutral thinking, than it can be considered the YIN [and YANG] of the Tao.)
Being a keen study of alchemy for a decade now, I imagined the cards were speaking to me in the language I loved best—choosing to reply in symbolic expression versus a literal depiction of gender.
So I was thrilled that this card confirmed my premonition: we would welcome a baby girl into our lives soon!!
As I studied the card in front of me a while longer, it crossed my mind that perhaps there was an even deeper layer of message to be found in its cryptic design: a wolf and a dog, howling in tandem at the full moon above, placed upon on a path that weaves itself between two stony towers, leading from sea to sky. The image of its namesake, the Moon, hovers as a three-part entity—the crescent, half, and full moon phases; at it’s zenith, it is depicted as radiant as the Sun.
THE MOON is a card with a possible few expressions—depending on your personal style or system, or the company of cards it is in combination with, it can be perceived as pessimistic; so the passing worry of there being more to its appearance and message on this day gave me pause again.
I sat a beat with my Old Friend, Anxiety.
The Moon card can represent illusion or trickery—like how the Light of the Moon is not actually originating from itself, but is actually a reflection of the burning Sun upon its lunar landscape.
Or it can indicate that the veil is keeping something hidden from us: consciousness—in the bright light of day we can see things, including ourselves, quite clearly; in the murky moonlight of nighttime—the subconscious—we only ever see things in shadowy, smudged detail or ourselves in vague silhouette.
If at all.
That’s the poetic stuff, folks!
Then there is the commonly used menu of negative key words to make you lose your appetite: fear, anxiety, deception, lies, secrets, insecurity, confusion, uncertainty, instability, irrationality…
😳😬🫣😂
Meh. I quickly decided I was over-thinking—it was a light-hearted pregnancy “game” I was playing, right?—and placed the Moon card back into the deck.
Though there is a limited, but kind of delicious, buffet available of positive meaning too and it really made more sense in this case to see an additional layer of truth right there: imagination, intuition, visions, dreams—oh my!
It was an intuitive lightning moment.
Ok, case closed.
A few weeks later, however, I started receiving another message about my pregnancy from the Universe and it said something to me that was too wild to comprehend… TWINS!?
Come again?
Despite the fact this message did come again and again, I was in serious disbelief and denial that what I was witnessing could actually indicate I was pregnant with a pair of babies. I allowed myself to stubbornly concoct a few less literal interpretations of what I was “seeing”.
(Yep, love those metaphors!!)
However, the ultrasound at 11 Weeks shut my love of figurative imagery down fast when the technician declared we had a “bonus baby” on board. My partner almost fainted in surprise, but I just kind of just smiled about it as I lay flat on my back and remained mostly silent. Because I’d known it, even as I’d rejected it.
A few hours later, it struck me that perhaps my gender prediction tarot game had been a failure. But my cards had never let me down before.
Nor did they this time!?
I laughed out loud when I saw the Moon card in my mind—the imagery of TWO was now immediately obvious—depicted by the mirror-image of dog and wolf “twins” and the identical-looking “twin” towers!
Then I laughed harder when I realized there was a “secret” or “trick” I did not see coming about the answer to the question about my pregnancy. Although I had experienced a knowing about my future child(ren) to come, there had been crucial component that had remained “hidden” from my knowledge.
I also kept a death grip upon my “illusion” of having a singleton baby girl, even as I was inundated with intuitive information and synchronistic happenings that were telling me otherwise.
You seriously can’t make this stuff up.
The Universe was screaming for me to find the missing piece to the pregnancy puzzle but I refused to drink the Koolaide.
Nah, I said. Not ME! A Mom of 3? 😅😳🫣🤣
Now it all just made so much sense to why the Universe didn’t just throw me a feminine character card like the 9 of Pentacles, or a Queen of any suit, or the Empress, or the High Priestess.
The profundity of the Universe, and its curious ability to construct a personalized message to you through the various artworks and archetypes of a deck of “playing” cards is truly magick.
When people kept asking me in the months leading up to the next scan, what gender combo I predicted them to be, I never once faltered in my faith that it was two girls and repeatedly said so much.

Definitely no coincidence either that my partner likes to refer to our wild AF toddler girls as “Our Little Lunatics.” 😂🤩😂

Mystery reading of the week! Thank you for visiting our page today—is it you that the Universe is speaking to!?

It took me a long time to compose this post—sorry for the delayed share and I promise to follow up with the next one over the next few days.
While I knew from the very beginning who I was speaking to and why (hurray for intuitive lightning!) I had some trouble second guessing—triple guessing—my delivery of the message. It’s a sensitive subject and heavy content for someone out there reading.

How did I do? 😅

♏️ We start off with my beloved Rider-Waite deck to see what will be revealed at first draw about our mystery customer:

Interpretation:
⚡️ Your former self / life has been completely annihilated by the heartbreak of losing the woman of your dreams—someone you see / saw as the “perfect woman”. ⚡️

♏️ I sought for a little more insight about the broken heart you suffer, and I got a LOT in response:

ℹ️ These are 3 heavy-hitting cards—all Major Arcana across the board. It means this is a very significant event in this lifetime and your response will be imperative to your life’s path and personal evolution!

Interpretation:
⚡️The card of Temperance suggests that moderation in your life is key to finding success when coming out of this broken heart—it is imperative that you seek to implement balance both within and without. You have been leaning into life and love too hard in one direction to the detriment of your relationship(s).
⚡️The Hermit card indicates that you have some major soul-searching and self-reflection to do whilst in your current status of solitude. You might not wish to find yourself alone right now, but it is truly the only way to get yourself from Point A to Point B on this part of your life’s journey. Interpretation:
⚡️Whenever an opportunity came to work together and overcome your day-to-day conflict and generalized relationship challenges, you would become defensive and combative, instead of working in cooperation to rebuild / repair the breakdown (of the moment or relationship) into something smarter and stronger than before.
⚡️She felt like she could never “win” with you, so in the end, she felt that neither could the relationship succeed. (Not that it’s ever about “winning” in a healthy relationship—but you get the point!) She really felt she had no choice but to walk away…
⚡️You are too often preoccupied with the small details and hence miss seeing the “big picture” of both specific conflicts and in a relationship overall.
⚡️The two latter drawn cards verified the interpretation of the former for me: you are depicted again as defending yourself with sword (this time in apt position of King) and then have drawn another Page card whose specific image again is the scrutiny of something very specific and set close to face. ⚡️I’ve drawn this particular Higher Self card enough times in readings to be well familiar but never have I felt compelled to focus on the subtext of this one. But today, I really feel like there is something amusing intended just for you with the reference to blue jeans!? 😂🫣😂
That said, the “Higher Self” is your soul—a part of ourselves we all have access to, but so many are disconnected and operate on the daily in denial of this essential component of human existence. It often takes a personal or existential crises to wake up to your own innate power and wisdom. The Higher Self is the Wise One Within who knows who you were born to be and what you want out of this lifetime. It serves us well to get acquainted instead of remaining estranged. It’s the magick that is discovered when you stop looking on the outside for answers and accountability and instead go searching on the inside. This card is suggesting you to make this shift and distinctly echoes the earlier message of the Hermit card!
⚡️ME TIME is pretty straight forward in its message to you—I love the occasional blunt accuracy of the cards. 😅 😅
However, in order to truly “enjoy your own company” as suggested, it may require making amends with yourself for your mistakes and choosing to love yourself—forgive the old version of you who didn’t know better, and welcome the new version of you who is willing to learn and evolve. Ironically, one of the important pillars in the foundation of long-term change is to come to terms and accept first who you are and where you are. On that note…
⚡️You are EXACTLY where you are meant to be. No, not as punishment. Please don’t feel like you’ve wasted time, messed up your life, or missed the opportunity for your success or happiness… because it’s quite the opposite, even if you can’t quite see this truth yet.
The Universe says, “Sorry, Not Sorry!” because whilst it is a dark place you’ve found yourself… it is THE PLACE YOU ARE GOING TO FIND YOURSELF. In due time, and due diligence, the Universe will show you why you were brought here to experience this heartbreak. This is the eventual launching pad for something even greater.⚡️

Interpretation:
⚡️The cards note that you are operating with a weakened energy field / waning life force. Understandable (!!!) considering the immense suffering you’ve undergone in the wake of your breakup. However, when you are stuck in heightened negative feelings like despair / fear / rage / guilt / shame for too long—it can become habituated—altering the foundation of your personal energy body and field instead of moving through you as a transient state of emotion. This distorts your vision of reality, which can have many undesirable consequences, and you become highly susceptible to all manner of negativity—attracting and manifesting unwanted or unhelpful people and circumstances into your life—putting you at risk of a further negativity spiral and entering into a terrible cycle.
Look into ways to repair and replenish your energetic body / field to help reverse the direction you have been travelling.
Experiencing the immense lows in life can give birth to great revelation and creation—activating our “daimon” to achieve amazing things—but if this energy ailment is left unhealed, our unique genius is without sufficient nurture, or worse, in neglect or abuse; the daimon that does not find its way out of the darkness and into the light of day eventually will become the “demon” that will write the sad, or worse, the tragic ending to the story! Instead of introducing you to the rest of, and the best of, your life.
⚡️This semi-rant of mine luckily leads us into the meaning of your second card: VISIONARY! (Phew, glad that all worked out 😅.)
You are being called out / called to action—if you haven’t already started. Because it’s time. From this point on, you are going to co-create with the Universe the great life you have dreamed about. It’s not necessarily going to look like what you originally imagined for yourself, and will definitely not happen overnight—but it’s going to be better, and the work and wait will be worth it. Make it / let it happen. (Some things you have to take initiative and some things will show up in divine timing!) Chances are, the unique components of your lived life experience, the passions and interests you have kept close to your heart from the start, and the dream(s) you have dared to dream but have yet to manifest—they all want to come together to give it to you. You have all the ingredients, or at least most of them; it’s time to perfect the recipe, then eventually serve your own unique Gift à Le Monde in the lives of others who need it.

It is also the card that can perhaps spell out best for you WTH is going on.
