Myopia is a common vision problem, but did you know there’s no cure? Understanding why is the first step in managing your vision.
1. Our eyes naturally need to focus on near objects to see them clearly, and that causes the eyeball to elongate.
2. Currently, there is no way to stop the eyeball from growing, so myopia controlling treatments usually involve focusing the light more accurately on the retina.
3. Surgery can sometimes correct myopia, but nearsightedness may creep back, especially if near work is still done for long periods of time.
It’s important to have an accurate understanding of the limitations and treatments for myopia. If you’d like to learn more about pain-free myopia management options, contact our office today.

Optometry is best assisted by artificial intelligence (AI) when it comes to making patient care better, faster and more efficient. AI can help reduce time spent on mundane tasks, improve accuracy of diagnosis, reduce data errors and identify potential areas of improvement. Furthermore, AI-enabled apps can help optometrists provide better insights to patients and develop customized treatment plans. By leveraging AI, optometrists can manage their workload more efficiently, giving more attention to their patients. Tap the link below to know more about AI in optometry.
