Gems from Hakomi in Real Life🎆✨

Over the years Hakomi Education Network has compiled and curated hundreds, if not thousands, of clips and longer form videos of both practice and teaching sessions, as well as testimonials about the power of the method. These testimonials aren't just nice quotes, they are real conversations with people about how Hakomi has made a positive impact on their lives, their work and others around them. In some cases, working with Hakomi has offered a total reframe on aspects of one's life. We'll be highlighting some of these in our newsletters over the coming months, and open up an invite to all of you - to send us your own personal experiences and stories. This is one simple way that this community can help support those who are less familiar with Hakomi to really hear, see and FEEL what the impact might be, and why they might want to dive in further.

In this short video, HEN Teacher, yoga teacher and Registered Nurse Shelley Winton shares how Hakomi can be a powerful too for positive change in the workplace. A very practical application, and one with lasting and deep impact, considering how much of our lives are spent working! A line that really stood out for me:, "Hakomi really helped me to look for the gift that every team member is offering me. I stopped seeing people and situations as inconveniences to the direction I was trying to go, and they all became a gift."

Early birds not only get the significant Congress discount, but they also have a variety of accommodation options to choose from. You can book based on budget, preferred location, style or perhaps your main focus is being able to share or be close to friends or colleagues who will be attending.

There are small inns, larger hotels, and a variety of shared or single accommodation and don't delay in booking! Options are first come, first served, but they seem to have very flexible cancellation policies, so better be early than disappointed.

The organizing committee for this Congress is composed of Caroline Braham, Deirdre O Connor, Jody Hennings, Katy MacAndrew, Sherrie Scott, and Sabine Volkmann. Working alongside HEN's Network Coordinator, they are creating a welcoming, inclusive and engaging experience for all. If you've encountered a situation that feels uncomfortable, confusing, or are unsure if it crosses ethical boundaries, we encourage you to reach out at ethics@hakomieducation.net. These conversations are always confidential.

The Ethics Circle can also help support Courageous Conversations, an informal process facilitated by trained HEN volunteers that can help repair relationships before a formal grievance process takes place. Every sigh, every fidget, every repeated phrase—these are not just habits. They are indicators. Clues to deeper beliefs shaped long ago. When we listen to these subtle expressions with curiosity and compassion, we open a path toward deeper healing and transformation.

In this Resourced & Inspired session, we’ll learn from Ron's video archives, how to gently notice and work with these indicators, allowing what’s implicit to come into conscious awareness. Join us as we explore how to follow the breadcrumbs left by the body and mind and uncover the insights they hold.
