Vancouver Facial Hair Club Vancouver Facial Hair Club We promote respect, inclusivity, and fellowship within the Facial Hair community.

The Vancouver Facial Hair Club was founded in January 2013, with the idea of creating a charitable social group to help promote a positive image for Facial Hair and to create a community for Facial Hair Growers, Builders, and Enthusiasts. We host monthly meet-ups for Members and non-members and host an annual Facial Hair Competition to raise money for local charities, with a focus on Men’s mental health and well-being, or other charitable organizations that directly address needs in the local community. We are current members of the North American Charitable Beard and Moustache Alliance (www.nacbma.org) and the World Beard and Moustache Association (www.worldbeardandmoustacheassociation.org)

We host monthly open in-person meet-ups [as of April/25, on the 3rd Wednesday of the month], at Hero's Welcome, 3917 Main St, Vancouver, BC. If you need beard advice, want to meet other facial hair enthusiasts, want to hang out and stare at some beards and moustaches, or need information about upcoming competitions in the area, then this is the place to be! It’s that time of year when we put our love of furry and faux-furry faces back to charitable and entertaining use.

This year's Vancouver Facial Hair Club’s annual charity competition, “Whiskers Welcome," will be held May 16, 2026, once again at Hero's Welcome’ on Main, and we’d love to see YOUR face in the crowd!

*** NEW THIS YEAR ****

- an afternoon comp so you can bring the whole family (doors at 1, comp 2-5).

- swag bags of product and merchandise for every competitor.

*** RETURNING FAVOURITES ***

- free portrait & comp candid photography by Monte the Photographer & Bailward Photography

- raffle table including baskets of beard products, tickets to local sports and theatre events, artwork, and more.

- our fabulous 50/50 draw.

- our promise that 100% of your $25 or $10 ticket goes directly to our charity of choice, Street Thug Barbers

On Saint Patrick's Day we raise an extra glass to each & everyone whom have participated & attended a vanfhc Charity Comp.

Generous contributions to our past annual Facial Hair Competitions have helped us raise $13,284.60 in the last 5 years for worthy causes such as:

PLEA Community Services and Movember (2024)

Greater Vancouver Food Bank (2022)

TEAM CANADA brought out the best ever camaraderie cheering good times and landed 15 metals in total coming in 06th overall in country standings!

VANFHC is cheering on TEAM CANADA at the 2026 Winter Paralympics in Milano Cortina.

Sporting events like the Paralympics always bring out the best camaraderie times so let's cheer on TEAM CANADA represented by 50 athletes (34 men and 12 women).

Athletes are competing across all six sports: Para ice hockey, wheelchair curling, Para nordic skiing (biathlon/cross-country), Para alpine skiing, and Para snowboard.
