Learning how to hold space for a room takes practice, technique, and an understanding of the heat. But it also takes this. Connection, laughter, and enjoying the work. A little moment from our latest team session.

Good music, good heat, good people. The kind of moment that makes you grateful you showed up.

A Good Sauna night to remember.

A little behind the scenes from our recent team training.

We spend a lot of time talking about the benefits of the heat, but the truth is, it is also just really fun. Good people, good energy, and a room that makes it impossible to take yourself too seriously.

Kyla speaking fire over a fire.

Her work in Osteopathy has done wonders for my body. When I’m not snoozing off to her deeply restful care, then we often find ourselves in good conversation.

This time was out in nature among friends with fire cooked meals. A delicious small slice of “wellness” to end the week on.

Good food, cold water, warm hugs, and the kind of day that makes you wonder why you do not do this more often. A day out in the forest with The Den Wellness Collective. The kind of day you keep coming back to in your head.

It’s inspiring meeting artists like Miguel who purposefully engage in forms of creativity that demand a sense of slowing down.

We first met as neighbours, but I became increasingly interested everytime he spoke about film photography. Unlike digital photography, he can’t just rely on endless snaps with the hopes that a handful of shots turn out as winners.

Instead, he has to pause and anticipate each moment with intentionality and precision. He describes the mechanical feel of these vintage cameras as robust and made with quality in mind.

I knew there was a parallel story to be shared between his views on film photography and the sauna culture. This is our AetherHaus Artist highlight of April - our neighborhood film photograher, Miguel Santos.
