Together We Can Drug & Alcohol Recovery & Education Society

Together We Can Drug & Alcohol Recovery & Education Society TWC’s mission is to educate and support individuals who struggle with the challenges of addiction. Thank you for your generous support.

Together We Can Addiction Recovery & Education Society was founded in 1993 and since then has become one of Canada’s leading treatment centres for men. Located in Metro Vancouver, TWC’s mission is to educate and support men and families who struggle with the challenges of substance misuse, and desire a new life in recovery. TWC provides over 200 men with abstinence-based recovery programs and supp

ortive housing opportunities in a therapeutic residential setting. Our addiction recovery programs, transitional housing, and aftercare initiatives provide residents with an integrated approach to rehabilitation. Together We Can understands that long-term recovery is most successful when people are provided health and wellness supports for physical, mental, emotional and spiritual healing. TWC is a licensed healthcare service provider through Vancouver Coastal Health, and is well established as a reputable destination where men can truly begin to create change in their lives and rebuild their family relationships. As a registered charity, we are dedicated to building positive community relationships with Families, Donors, Partners, and Government. Together, we can continue to make a difference in our community.

Woot! Let's all congratulate Chad C. on 25 years of clean time! Chad has shown that long-term recovery is possible, and when we put in the work, we get the rewards!

Chad shares, "Celebrating 25 years of recovery, I look back at how much TWC has transformed since I first entered nearly 27 years ago. My true path to sobriety began on May 4, 2001. Recovery is fundamentally about connection; we find ourselves not just here for our own sake, but for those we love. This year has been particularly tough for me, beginning with the loss of my mother. Yet, I've discovered that inspiration often comes from unexpected people-be it a newcomer who reminds us of our vulnerabilities or a guy at the gym joyfully telling you he’s a few days from a year sober and reuniting with his children. Each person’s journey is distinct, but the shared feeling of achievement brings us together. I wish you all another 24!"

Congratulations, Chad!!

Today, we celebrate a special milestone with TWC Alumni and Counsellor, Adam M., who is celebrating 6 years of recovery! Adam has worked hard in his recovery and post-secondary education as he helps others heal from the impact of addiction. He also understands the importance of rebuilding relationships with family, by being the dad and caregiver to his kids that they love and respect!

Adam shares, "Six years ago, my life was driven by chaos, disconnection, and the weight of addiction. Through healing, community, and doing the inner work, I found a new way to live grounded in purpose and honesty. Today, I walk in gratitude—for the struggles that shaped me, the people who stood beside me, and the strength I’ve built along the way. Recovery has given me a life of meaning, and I’m committed to carrying that forward one day at a time."

Congratulations, Adam! We are proud to call you a member of the

Congrats to Paul on reaching his 3-year sobriety milestone! 🙏

Paul — we are incredibly proud of how far you’ve come in your recovery journey since coming to TWC, and grateful that you continue to stay connected with the community. Thank you for sharing your message with others—your experience is a powerful reminder that we do recover!

Paul shared:
“After spending 5 years in and out of the fellowship and trying to do things my own way, TWC humbled me into listening and committing 100%. I can’t stress enough how important connection is. Three years later, I’m still in touch with people I met at TWC and attend Zoom calls with the guys I met there. The biggest lesson I’ve learned is to never give up.”

A huge thank you to everyone who came out to support the Vancouver Goldeneyes game on Saturday! 💙🏒 It was more than just a great game—it was a strong reminder of what community looks like. Seeing our Northstar alumna, the TWC team, and our friends and community members come together through hockey was incredibly meaningful. 🤝

An amazing way for the Goldeneyes to close out the season—strong, united, and full of heart! 🙌🔥 Thank you to everyone who supported and purchased tickets for the ladies in second stage—they had such a great time! 💙

Metro Vancouver is seeing a continued rise in homelessness, with a 9% increase since 2023. Mental health and addiction are deeply connected, and Together We Can has been present in the Downtown Eastside, building trust and connection with members of our community through our Street Reach program.

We’re grateful to Hockey Helps The Homeless - Vancouver for their support, and together we are proud to be able to offer a fully funded treatment opportunity to someone experiencing homelessness—creating a real pathway toward stability, recovery, and long-term change!

"One year ago, I was in a completely different headspace. Looking at these photos now, I can truly see how far I’ve come. The first photo was taken during my 90-day stay in treatment in Vancouver—a time of doing the real work and finding solid people to lean on. April 20th marks one year of sobriety. I’m deeply grateful for the progress, the lessons, and everyone who has stood in my corner along the way." -Henry

Congratulations, Henry, on reaching your 1-year sobriety milestone. Your commitment to the work is inspiring, and we’re wishing you continued strength and growth on your recovery journey!🥳
