Harp music is also available for funeral services, corporate receptions, and business meetings. Live harp music will bring a peaceful ambiance to your family or business events. The organizational mindfulness training workshops, private mindfulness training sessions, and reunion practice groups are designed to help you develop a deeper understanding of yourself and find resources to cope with challenges in life. You can choose among a variety of mindfulness training programs developed by the Oxford Mindfulness Foundation to cater to the needs of your group. Mindfulness for Life 每月共修小組放暑假之際,難得國際靜觀會議(亞太區)2025於香港舉行,我便趁機回港一趟,跟本書作者,牛津大學精神科學系Willem Kuyken教授分享我們在溫哥華舉行的社區小組活動,他深感興趣想知道大家的經驗。

會議中Prof. Willem Kuyken 作為開幕主講嘉賓,除了介紹他過去一直在精神健康方面的研究,更帶出了他對未來50年的願景。就如50年前心臟病是非常普遍的公共衛生難題,經過多年的科研與公眾教育,情況已能大幅控制。而當前全球面對的精神健康危機,他也希望透過科研及公眾教育,尤其是對靜觀練習有系統地作出以實證研究為本的導師培訓和公眾推廣,希望當下的危機也能找到出口,讓靜觀不再局限於用作治療,而是持續支持學習者活出心盛”flourishing”。

我的啟蒙老師
一行禪師

這些年來一直從不同的渠道學習正念/靜觀
然而我的啟蒙老師正正是一行禪師
還記得10多年前第一次跟禪師親身的相遇
是在大學舉辦的活動中作為主辦單位而認識他和團隊中的法師們
雖然他是一位出家人
他常常會提醒學生
你要問的問題,不是關於佛法
而是你在正念修習中得到滋養了嗎?

這些年有幸在全球各地的梅村修習中心學習和參與共修
遇過來自世界各地不同背景、年齡層,甚至不同信仰的朋友
親身體驗過就會明白禪師慈悲的教導是多麼深刻地影響了許多人的生命

昔日曾經遇上難過和不安的時候
讀到一行禪師的「用正面擁抱恐懼」
書的開段是這樣寫的:
人生充滿美好的時刻,也充滿困難的時刻
許多人儘管生活幸福美滿,喜樂的背後卻隱藏着恐懼
我們害怕有一天幸福會消逝、想要的東西得不到、所愛的會失去
又或者害怕會不安全…
要止息心中的恐懼
達到真正的快樂
唯一的方法就是覺察恐懼,並深觀恐懼的根源
不用逃避恐懼,而是要覺察他,深刻清晰地觀察他

因為這本書的啟發
現在我對生活裏的困難,有了不一樣的見解
與其苦苦掙扎要改變外景
不如靜下來去了解和照顧內在感到不安的那個自己

自從來了加拿大生活
這幾年來一路上遇上許多剛剛到步
或者移居已久的朋友
發現這是一片有趣的土地
有些人從小在這裏長大
卻有更多人是在生命的某一個階段裏突然跳進這個地方
在新生活裏的希望和失落之間輾轉掙扎
正因為此
心裏一直很希望把曾經給予我力量的教導和練習分享及更多人
也許我們未能即時改變外景
而我們的心就是當下可以做選擇

自從四月和外子去了法國梅村
跟法師分享了我們的想法
得到了他們很大的支持
現在我們已經準備好了
正式成立了這個新的網上正念共修小組
名字叫One Sky Sangha
靈感來自梅村一首歌的歌詞
“we are the stars of one sky”
無論腳踏地球上哪一片土地
那怕我們跟所愛的家人和朋友身處不同的地方
我們還是在同一天空下連結着

這個網上共修小組主要希望能夠照顧在北美地區講中文的朋友
如果時間許可的話,當然亦都歡迎其他地區的華人朋友參與
希望大家有機會接觸禪師的教導
當中有許多中文的材料可以慢慢探索啊

今個月有八位來自法國梅村的法師來到溫哥華卑詩大學帶領禪修活動
雖然門票已經售罄了
這幾天我會在現場幫忙做工作人員
希望有機會在活動裏見到大家
以及禪修活動之後在網上跟大家聯繫
一起分享一起練習

As Canada’s Mental Health Week in May comes to a close, take a moment to reflect—have you done something for your mental well-being this past week? Whether it was reading a good book, slowly savoring a warm cup of tea, or simply enjoying springtime in nature with your loved ones, these simple acts are powerful ways to care for your mind and body. Among these, mindfulness practice has been scientifically proven to support emotional resilience, foster compassion and empathy, and enhance concentration, helping us truly relax and recharge.

Next Sunday, *May 18th, we invite you to join a brand new session of the “Mindfulness & Therapeutic Harp Music: A Body-Mind Stress Relief Workshop.”
This month, we will continue exploring Chapter 7 of Mindfulness for Life—“Befriending our Mind” Through guided mindfulness practices and the soothing sound of harp music, you’ll be led into an immersive weekend experience to relax, restore, and reconnect with yourself.

Life goes on, and some people struggle with the results, getting frustrated, worrying, and not knowing how to cope with the uncertainty in the next few years.

【從機動式反應到認知當下的情緒】

自從練習靜觀之後,最明顯的變化是內心變得平靜、舒適,較容易接受突如其來的變化。
就像這次靜觀與豎琴療癒體驗後,剛巧有次在外用餐,那家餐廳屬米芝蓮推介級別,正當我準備享用那碗剛剛端上來的牛肉湯河粉的時候,一雙筷子攪拌了一下,驚見有一條髮絲在內。以前的我必定會大叫一番並作出投訴,然後決定從此不再光顧這家餐廳。而我卻發現這一次的體驗變得很不一樣,大概是因為練習了靜觀,我能夠面對並接納這是不愉快的經驗,但是我沒有為此而被這種情緒牽動而作出衝動的言行,反之,我能夠冷靜地處理這情況,示意那位侍應生前來看看,確認一下然後把它更換了。
反觀這一次的經驗,讓我看到靜觀練習為我帶來日常生活中的改變,我能夠認知及接納當下的情緒,減少衝動的反應。這種穩定的情緒實在是提升身心靈品質的重要元素。

【From react to response: Recognizing emotions in the present moment】

Since I started practicing mindfulness, the most noticeable change has been an increased sense of inner calm. I find it easier to accept unexpected changes.
After attending the last mindfulness and therapeutic harp music session, I happened to be dining out. The restaurant was recommended in the Michelin Guide. Just as I was about to enjoy a freshly served bowl of beef rice noodle soup, I stirred it with my chopsticks and was shocked to find a strand of hair in it. In the past, I would have likely reacted strongly, made a complaint, and decided never to visit that restaurant again. However, this time felt very different. Perhaps due to my mindfulness practice, I could face and accept this unpleasant experience without being swept away by negative emotions or reacting impulsively. Instead, I calmly signalled the waiter, showed them the issue, and they replaced the dish.
Looking back at this experience, I realize how mindfulness practice has brought about changes in my daily life. I can now recognize and accept emotions in the moment, reducing impulsive reactions. This emotional stability is truly an essential element in enhancing the quality of body, mind and spirit.
