《更深的靜觀 - 正念8週靜心計畫創始人的全新感受調子課》中文版即將推出

經歷一年的團隊工作成果要面世了!

在英國牛津靜觀基金會的靜觀課程中,一直以來我都偏愛《昏亂世界中尋找平安》
而這本書自2011年出版以來在全球各地連同不同的翻譯版本,已經發行了超過150萬本,成為了其中一本膾炙人口的靜觀讀物,不管是單純的閱讀、自學還是參加課程,都啟發了不少對靜觀有興趣的讀者和修習者

2023年兩位作者再度合作,出版了Deeper Mindfulness這本新書,更深入地探討了靜觀中的【受(Vedanā)】

猶記得幾年前有機會跟Mark Williams 教授在溫哥華學習這個新的課程時,實在能確切地體會到團隊對研習和整合靜觀的傳統智慧與現代科研的決心。自去年夏季感恩有機會跟幾位靜觀導師在馬淑華博士的帶領下開展了這本新書的中文翻譯工作,過程獲益良多,也讓我們對課程背後的設計理念有更深刻的反思和理解,希望透過細心的考量,讓中文讀者也能掌握當中的概念。

It is a great honor to be a member of the translation team for this book written by Prof. Mark Williams and Dr. Danny Penman. has been one of my favorite 8-week programs from the Oxford Mindfulness Foundation, and I love the program even more as it explores the traditional mindfulness teaching of Vedanā, offering practitioners a chance to deepen their practice. Working with the team under the supervision of Dr Helen Ma on this translation project has been an inspiring experience, allowing us to delve deeper into the teachings and make them more accessible to the Chinese-speaking mindfulness community.

Printed copies will soon be available at Eslite and other bookstores! I am planning to hold online sharing sessions in Cantonese in the second half of this year. Stay tuned.

你生命中有哪道「裂縫」,正在等待被溫柔對待呢?

很長一段時間,我都會在工作坊裡分享金繼ぎ(Kintsugi)的理念
用金粉修補破裂之處,讓傷痕成為最美的部分
這個月的日本之行,我終於親手體驗了
我以為自己早已懂得這個道理
但當我坐下來,拿起工具,發現自己急著想把裂縫填好,想用金粉讓它「看起來更美」
一刻突然發現
原來我還是想快點「修好」它
Kintsugi 教我的,不是如何讓成品完美
而是讓我感受如何與那道裂縫相處
真正的功課,從來不在終點
它在每一個細小的動作,每一次安靜的呼吸裡
期待有一天可以參加六天的金繼培訓

Kintsugi experience

For a long time, I have shared the concept of Kintsugi in my workshops and classes, emphasizing the importance of appreciating imperfections. Rather than feeling ashamed of setbacks and failures, we can view them as signs of resilience and growth.

Earlier this month, during my trip to Japan, I finally had the opportunity to attend a Kintsugi class. My main takeaway? Patience is essential! I noticed my urge to fix the crack as quickly as possible and my desire to use plenty of golden powder to make it look more beautiful. But I realized that much of the Kintsugi experience is not about the final product. It's about mindful craftsmanship and reflecting on how I relate to and handle the crack.

Much like playing the harp, I enjoy engaging in music and art mindfully. This approach helps me integrate my formal mindfulness practice with my everyday informal practice, nurturing Zen qualities in daily life. I hope to return one day and participate in the six-day Kintsugi training.

上星期六很高興有機會為香港大學卑詩省校友會舉行一節《靜觀與豎琴療癒音樂-身心減壓工作坊》

這次活動中有不少朋友都是第一次體驗靜觀和豎琴療癒音樂,藉着這次機會跟大家交流,讓每一位都能體會覺察呼吸,來感受如何能夠更深入地享受豎琴療癒音樂,溫暖的陽光,大家的微笑和眼淚,以及櫻花正在盛放UBC美麗的校園。

感謝校友會的細心安排,期待下一次再跟大家交流的機會。

Last Saturday I had the opportunity to host a mindfulness and therapeutic harp music session with the HKU alumni at UBC. Everbody had a great experience to 播enjoy the session with the presence of each other, the lovely sunshine and the beauty of the cherry blossoms on campus.

Sometimes people ask me whether they can play some music when they meditate. One can always meditate with the background of soothing music, audio for guided practice, or in nature with the sound of the birds chirping. In my session, participants were able to experience their breathing in silence simply by being in touch with the rhythm in the body, making their experiences with all therapeutic harp music, sunshine, smile and tears of each other to follow more vivid.

In gratitude for HKUBCAA to organise the event and everyone who shared a wonderful afternoon together. I am looking forward to seeing you all on the path again.

Celebrating the completion of our year-long open group, Mindfulness for Life!

We go slow, and we let the nourishment of our practice sink deeper into our bodies, minds, and hearts.
Through the moments of joy and tears we have shared
The practice is no longer something to take on, but an exploration driven by curiosity about life
Remembering we are always accompanied by friends who share the same aspiration
To live well, together
Learning how to be still and heal
Knowing that we always have choices, even in a world filled with uncertainties
Knowing that each and every one of us can be a source of kindness to the world

With gratitude to everyone who joined me on this journey
For the year-long project, chapter by chapter, following the teaching of the book
