There are so many amazing ways to energize or calm the mind and body, breath work being one of the most powerful. Each nostril offers effects to our mindbody physiology; the right nostril, bringing in heating, stimulating and activation of the sympathetic nervous system. The left, inviting in sensations of cooling, calming relaxation and activation of the parasympathetic nervous system. In just a few minutes and zero cost, YOU can change your entire experience. Give it a try next time you are needing energizing or calming and let me know how it goes. As always reach out if I can help you along your journey or if you have any questions. Wishing you all a beautiful day.

First flow of the season down at my sit spot and it doesn’t get much better than this. Opening my hips and heart while the Eagles soar above me. Self-care at its best!

In case you needed the reminder today, do something good for you. Movement, mindfulness, chocolate cake. Whatever you need, let your heart be your guide.

Wishing you all a beautiful day my friends, Namaste!

A great day begins with a great morning (OK maybe it starts with a great night sleep but you get the idea) sharing with you a few elements of a typical morning stack for me, not included in the video is my time in meditation that starts it all for me - a nonnegotiable for many years now. Then it’s a little bit of movement, some atonement to the breath and awakening my brain so I can make the most of my day.

What is your favourite morning routine? Please share if you feel so inclined, wishing you all a beautiful day, friends!

Breath work is one of the most powerful ways to transform mind and body. This simple bhramari breath is one of my favorites, blocking the senses and utilizing vibrational sound to help tone vagal nerve and encourage the nervous system into rest and digest among other health benefits. It is suitable foremost, but please do check with your practitioners or reach out if you have any questions or concerns. That is all of my friends wishing you a beautiful day, let me know how it goes if you give it a try. Buzz buzz 🐝

We are witnessing the early signs of spring here in the Pacific Northwest, in nature and the elements at play. Despite the blossoms beginning to sprout, we are still in the late stages of winter and when we align with natures circadian rhythms, it’s important that we continue these winter practises for just a little bit longer until we officially transition.

Think warm, cooked and nourishing foods. Calming, grounding, gentle practises that soothe these elements of air and space that are indicative of Vata season. We are almost ready to shake off our winter cob webs, just not quite yet. Work your practices, if you don’t have any, please reach out I’m here to help. Wishing you all a beautiful day!

Story time! For any of you that are on a healing journey, I just wanted to offer up some wisdom today. I don’t share much about my alopecia journey anymore, mostly because it’s not a thing for me. I love and accept myself, exactly as I am, knowing that I am deserving of love from myself (and others)

Authentic Love has nothing to do with the hair on my head or how I look in any way shape or form. Neither does any perceived imperfection YOU may have but the pace of our journey to healing is individual. If I can offer any sage advice, it is to keep going and you may just wake up one day to find there is laughter where once there was pain. You got this.

That’s all my friends wishing you all a beautiful day, as always reach out if I can help you along your journey in any way.

What if less was More? When we are working on mind and body health, especially if we have been unwell for a while and caught are in fight or flight/nervous system dysregulation it’s really important that we tread carefully. These practises of meditation, breath work, sensory aspects that work directly on the brain are subtle, but very powerful and It’s important that we do not overwhelm the system. Otherwise we may not see the results we’re looking for, or possibly regress. Either way, we are not feeling better in body or mind as promised.

Your coaches notes are bring in the one or two of the practises that are appropriate for your mind and body and give them time to work before adding anything else into the mix. This is the approach I take with clients, as well as with myself. I am sensitive just like many of you. I implement something into my life and notice how it feels to me in body and mind. I can then add another exercise or practice once I have given myself time to adapt.

As one of the wise teachers in my life says sometimes. “Less is More”

That’s all my friends wishing you all a beautiful day, as always reach out if I can help you along your journey!
