Tacjanna Saunders (RMT)
Personal Profile
In Warsaw, Poland Tacjanna received her degree in Physiotherapy. After graduation she worked at the Hospital for Marine Officers in Gdansk, specifically in the orthopedic and Neurology departments. For the past thirty years Tacjanna has been building her clientele and further establishing her Neuromuscular Massage Therapy Clinic. While involved with her own business, each year Tacjanna has engaged in continuing medical studies. Most notably, Tacjanna received advanced training through the St. John Neuromuscular institute in Florida, specializing in: TMJ (jaw) dysfunction, upper neck stabilization, cranial decompression, scoliosis, lumbar and SI dysfunctions and posture correction. Over the years Tacjanna has attended and contributed to many conferences and seminars. Most recently she attended:
The 3rd International Fascia Research Congress in Vancouver where she was a part of a Workshop for Advanced Manual Treatment of post-surgical adhesions (scar tissue), which took place in 2012. In 2014 she attended the Pain Management Conference in Vancouver and received further training through the neurophysiology pain workshop. Specialization

Treatment
Fascia: treatment of superficial and deep fascia to prevent further adhesions. Fascia is a highly innervated connective tissue that consists of fascial mechanoreceptors. Superficial Fascia is a transparent membrane, which lies between skin and groups of muscles. It progresses to a deeper level (a milk-like) covering of: every individual muscle, tendon, periosteum (outer surface of bone), nerve and internal organ. Scar Tissue- untreated scar tissue forms adhesions, which restrict ROM (range of motion) in muscles and joints. ATLAS+AXIS- mobilization of the 1st and 2nd neck vertebrae
Cranial Decompression- (29 cranial bones) gentle treatment of cranial bones combined with jaw + neck treatments
Muscle Energy Techniques (MET)- restore the physiological joint motion in the: Neck, thoracic area, ribcage, lumbar spine, SI (sacroiliac joints), and pelvis+ extremities. Work on the physiological pattern of movement in muscles and joints. Trigger Points- TPs are hypersensitive points Found in (taut) bands of muscle segments, tendons and fascia
Presently there are three other very skilled RMT’s working at Tacjanna’s Clinic.
