The UK government has published its 2025 Spending Review, outlining priorities under its Plan for Change. This includes three key shifts in the healthcare system to move it from analogue to digital, treatment to prevention, and hospital to community. More highlights include:

→ A £2.3B real-terms increase in health capital budget from 2023-24 to 2029–30 for a >20% increase—the largest in NHS history.

→ Up to £10B for NHS digital transformation by 2028–29 for nearly a 50% increase from 2025–26.

→ Expanded investment in proactive care and primary services with a focus on improving efficiency and long-term sustainability.
