Let's welcome Rabbi Nina King-Madlem to the Louis Brier Home & Hospital and Weinberg Residence Family!

We are pleased to announce the hiring of Rabbi Nina, who will be commencing in her role of Chaplain on Monday, January 5, 2026.

Rabbi Nina is a Board Certified Chaplain and holds Degrees in Education, Arts in Jewish Studies, and Rabbinic Studies, in addition to completing a Certificate in Essentials of Palliative Care Chaplaincy.

Since 2013, Nina has held several positions as Chaplain, Judaics Teacher, and Religious Education Director in the State of Washington. Nina holds dual citizenship and is in the process of relocating to Vancouver.

The Louis Brier Home & Hospital extends our heartfelt condolences to the family and loved ones of Reverend Joseph Marciano z”l.

Reverend Marciano devoted his life to serving our Louis Brier community with compassion, faith, and humility. He ensured that every life was honoured with dignity and respect, and that every passing was accompanied with compassion and reverence.

We are deeply grateful for his enduring presence and faithful service to our residents over the years. His legacy of kindness and devotion will continue to be felt within our walls and in the hearts of all who knew him.

May his memory always be for a blessing.
