Spring is here, and for a lot of people that means sneezing, congestion, and itchy eyes. If seasonal allergies are a yearly battle, skin-prick testing can identify exactly what you're reacting to. Treatment options like SLIT therapy can help reduce your sensitivity over time. Book an appointment at inspirit.janeapp.com.

Acupuncture works by restoring the flow of energy through your body, addressing the root of issues like chronic pain, poor sleep, stress, and digestive problems. Needles are hair-thin and most people find treatments deeply relaxing. Our Downtown Vancouver practitioners are taking new patients. Your cough isn't random. In Traditional Chinese Medicine, it's your body's way of clearing a blocked pathway. Whether yours is wet, dry, or full of yellow phlegm, each type points to a different internal imbalance. Learn what yours might mean in our latest blog post.

By Carrie Lee R.Ac, R.TCM.P In Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), a cough is more than just a symptom; it is a "rebellion" of your body's internal energy. 1. The Core Concept: Rebellious Lung Qi TCM believes that Lung Qi (your respiratory energy) should naturally flow downward to distribute oxygen....

Naturopathic medicine has been practiced in North America for over 125 years, and for good reason. Rather than just addressing symptoms, it looks at the full picture of your health, including your lifestyle, environment, family history, and overall wellbeing. At Inspirit Health Group, our Naturopathic Doctors work with you to understand what is really going on and create a plan that fits your individual needs. If you have been curious about what naturopathic care could do for you, we would love to connect.

March is Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month—a perfect time to pause, reflect, and talk about health with the people we care about.

Colorectal cancer has been trending on social media lately, with stories and conversations shining a light on how it’s affecting younger adults more than ever. These posts are a powerful reminder: don’t wait until something feels wrong—check in, ask questions, and stay informed.

Being proactive is one of the simplest ways to protect your long-term health.

On World Kidney Day, it’s a good reminder that the kidneys are one of the body’s major emunctories—organs responsible for eliminating waste and maintaining internal balance.

In naturopathic medicine, the kidneys work alongside other elimination pathways: the liver, bowels, skin, and lungs. When toxic load increases or one pathway becomes sluggish, the others often have to compensate. Over time, this added burden can contribute to symptoms showing up elsewhere in the body.

Supporting kidney health therefore isn’t only about the kidneys themselves—it’s about maintaining healthy elimination across all of the body’s emunctories.

Hydration, digestion, liver support, and regular bowel function all play a role in keeping these systems working together effectively.

When it comes to heart health, most of us think about cholesterol first. But blood sugar regulation is one of the earliest and most overlooked drivers of cardiovascular disease, even in people who have never been diagnosed with diabetes. Our latest blog post explores the connection between blood sugar, insulin, and heart health, and what you can do to support both. Link in bio to read more.

By. Dr. Olisa Mak, ND When considering cardiovascular risk, the obvious focus is cholesterol. Are our cholesterol levels high, especially our total cholesterol, low-density lipoproteins (LDL) and chol/HDL ratio. The relationship seems simple – lower our cholesterol levels to lower our cardiovascul...
