💎 If there’s one person who knows how to ‘chill out’, it’s my Dad 🥰

💎 What can I say, I learnt it from him 🤷🏻‍♀️

💎 If you feel like doing nothing, then that’s what your body needs right now, just to rest and recalibrate and there’s nothing wrong with that in fact it’s necessary for your overall wellbeing

💎 Too often we feel guilty when we aren’t being ‘productive’ but the power is in the pause

💎 Give yourself permission to do so

💎 Be like Dad 😄🫶🏻

💎 Finding fun in life can be challenging sometimes especially when you don’t feel great; perhaps you are feeling tired, low, no energy, pain

💎 One of the ways to find joy again is to connect to your inner child; the part of you that was able to be imaginative and creative by thought alone

💎 You were once able to play pretend and have the best time doing it but then you let life get in the way of finding those glimmers in your day

💎 Your nervous system needs to know that having fun is safe

💎 I encourage you to write a list of things that you once enjoyed and try to remember how you felt doing them, imagine yourself doing it again and again until you feel it as real- because familiar to the nervous system is safety

💎 Let’s talk: if you’re struggling to get out of bed in the morning, you’re not lazy

🫩 You could be dealing with ‘burnout’

😳 ‘Burnout’ is totally different from just being tired 🥱

😳 People often think that ‘burnout’ comes from working ‘too much’, but instead can be because you are waking up in the morning dreading the thought of going to work, feeling deeply unfulfilled with what you are doing and feeling like you’ve got no gas left in the tank to perform your daily tasks

😳 Burnout can be all encompassing; emotional, physical, spiritual and mental

😳 Burnt out: from ‘doing’ all the ‘right things’ just to keep your head above water 💧

😳 Burnout: from pretending you’re happy and everything is fine when inside you are feeling yourself become more and more disconnected to yourself and life in general

🤔 Another sign of burn out is you can’t think straight, struggle to concentrate and focus

🫩 You’re irritable at home with family because deep down you feel so exhausted from trying to mask the truth of how you are feeling- leading to further disconnection to the truth of who you are and the people around you

So if you feel like a fish 🐟 swimming upstream instead of flowing with the natural current of life and the rhythm of your nervous system then don’t wait before you get to the point of burn out

💎 Do something so you can restore your flow again in your body and in your life

💎 When you’ve been living in survival for so long it can be hard to see a way out sometimes

Your body feels heavy, unsafe, you are deeply disconnected to yourself

There’s no capacity for anything other than literally surviving- eat, sleep, work, repeat 🔁

No capacity for joy, fun and play, no capacity to feel these higher frequency emotions to the fullest

But when you start to work on your inner world to create safety and connect to yourself again, that’s when everything shifts

Dark days and heaviness become lighter

You go from 🫩 to >>>>>😄🤪🤣😎🥳🥰❤️

It’s all possible when we become our own best friend by befriending the nervous system

I invite you to become curious what could be possible for you if you were able to move out of survival mode and tap into joy again?

💎 You don’t have to be perfect all the time

You don’t have to have the right words
Or the perfect plan
A flawless version of yourself ready before you begin

💎 The pressure you feel?

That’s a nervous system that learned it had to get everything “right” to be accepted

So you hesitate…
You doubt….
You stay in your head 🫩🤯

But you’re allowed to show up as you are:
messy, human, still figuring it out

💎 Because the version of you that’s real
will always be more powerful than the version that’s perfect ☺️🫶🏻

💎 Feel like you’ve tried everything but yet you still have pain?

💎 Here’s a few insights on this:

⚡️ Pain is multidimensional and multifactorial
⚡️How you talk to yourself internally has a physiological impact on your body and physical health
⚡️You have tried all the things: needling, massage, foam rolling, chiro, physio- none of these things are wrong and can be very helpful but the missing piece is…

💎 You have to change how you see yourself; see yourself as ALREADY whole and complete and look beyond the veil of limitation- this is the identity shift that is necessary to move beyond your pain

💎 Emotions: what happens when we don’t release them?

😣 When you don’t release emotions, they don’t disappear; they get stored

In your body…

In your patterns…

In your nervous system…

They show up as tension, overthinking, shutdown, or reactivity and often pain

This is not ‘who’ you are

It’s what your body hasn’t processed yet

💎 This is a great exercise to release: grab a pillow and allow yourself to shout, scream, drop it on the floor, punch it, anything which you feel your body is asking for

💎 Emotions are not the enemy and by giving space to feel them they can become our friends
