Tendon stretch is impossible for anyone with tighter hamstrings *and* it helps everyone with their tight hamstrings 🙈😅. When the Superficial BackLine is tight it can be daunting, affecting flexibility in the foot, calves, hamstrings and back-even the neck!

🎯Some helpful tips:

1. Sit on the foot bar with arches of the feet on the edge of the carriage and hands in a wider grip, then try and lift the hips up *without* opening the carriage (springs are closed the entire time).
2. Sit on the foot bar with arches of the feet on the edge of the carriage with regular grip (thumbs with index finger) then try and lift the hips up *without* opening the carriage (springs are closed the entire time).
3. Once you are able to set up the exercise without opening the carriage begin to open the carriage with the goal to return or close the carriage entirely. Use momentum to start but focus on PULLING UP the hips instead of allowing the springs to push the hips back. The goals is curl (or posteriorly rotate)the pelvis using deep Transverse Abdominals. 🔥
4. BONUS (not shown): This exercise requires strong arms and back. Practicing on the mat with palms flat will help with this progression. 💪🏼💪🏼

Tendon Stretch is considered an intermediate level exercise but this progression is a starting point for the student who is ready or the teacher who feels tighter. Give this a go and comment below!
