Seasons are changing, routines are shifting. Vacations are fading and life is settling back in.

When I hit menopause, I felt like my body had betrayed me.
I was eating healthy, moving daily, but the scale wouldn’t budge and my energy was tanking.

What I didn’t know back then is that our resting metabolic rate drops with every pound of muscle we lose. Less muscle means slower metabolism — and less energy to do the things we love.

The game-changer? Strength training.
Not extreme workouts, not hours in the gym — just simple, consistent movement I could do right at home.

👉 At first, I started with bodyweight exercises — squats, modified push-ups, planks, and step-ups. These built my confidence and showed me results without needing equipment.
👉 When I was ready, I added dumbbells to challenge my muscles more and boost results.

This shift brought my energy back, helped me manage my weight, and gave me strength I didn’t think I could build in my 50s.

If you’re over 50 and feeling stuck in your body, know this: you can restart your metabolism and feel strong again. You just need the right strategy.
