My name is Kelly & I provide mobile and in clinic nursing footcare to residents in the Vankleek Hill & surrounding rural areas.
I have been a Registered Nurse in good standing with the CNO since 2007, and have had many nursing opportunities and experience throughout the years, working in the community, in primary care & in the hospital.
My passion for educating clients & providing holistic, compassionate care, has encouraged me to expand my scope and hone in on some new skills as a footcare nurse.
I take the utmost care in assessing and treating your lower limb/foot health concerns.
My services currently include:
- basic nail trimming / filing/ maintenance, especially for those who may have mobility issues or find it hard to reach their feet (injuries, arthritis, seniors, during pregnancy, etc)
-diabetic footcare management & maintenance
- callous reduction/removal
- corn reduction/removal
- ingrown toenail reduction/treatment
- thick or damaged toenail reduction
- skin + lower limb assessment.... and in the near future- treating fungal nail issues
The difference with a nursing foot health assessment & treatment is that nurses use medical grade products & tools and all reusable tools are cleaned and sterilized using an autoclave. I adhere to Ontario Public Health Guidelines and anything that cannot be sterilized is single use, or disinfected between clients.
I cannot wait to educate everyone in the community about the importance of taking care of your feet BEFORE there is an issue! I also look forward to helping with any issues with pain or discomfort and starting a wellness journey for your feet!
