She sat in my chair and the first thing she said was, “I just don’t want to look obvious.” I hear this more than anything else, and honestly, it’s a good fear to have. It means we stay disciplined with the plan.

“Can we just do a mini lip plump?”

Yes, and I do minis all the time, but here’s what usually happens. A mini (0.5 mL) is meant to be subtle. If your natural lips are already on the fuller side, that first mini can feel like a very small change, which is why a lot of clients come back around 6 weeks later asking to add a little more.

And just to clear up the biggest fear I hear, 1mL is not “too much.” It’s not double the look. It’s typically about a 10 to 15 percent difference from your baseline, and it’s still all about technique, balance, filler quality, and your lip anatomy.

This beauty already had a mini, gave it time, then came back for another mini to slightly enhance while keeping everything natural.

Before vs 8 months after...

Top photo is before. My beautiful client came in bothered by under-eye darkness and early hollowness, not bags, not swelling, just volume loss creating shadowing.

Bottom photo is 8 months fully healed after conservative under-eye filler.

What changed:
