Think pickles are just for cucumbers? Think again!
One of the most underrated ways to elevate your meals (and support gut health!) is by pickling your own veggies at home, and the best part? You can pickle almost anything.

From carrots to cauliflower, peppers to peaches, and even things like ginger or blueberries… the possibilities are endless. Coming from Italian roots, pickling was a big part of my childhood. My sisters and I would gather in the kitchen to help my mom prepare Giardiniera which is a medley of tangy, vibrant veggies that made its way to nearly every antipasto plate.

Beyond tradition, pickling is now part of my modern wellness approach. It’s a simple, flavour-packed way to preserve seasonal produce and nourish your gut.

This week, my daughter graduated and as I watched her cross that stage, I felt so much more than pride. I felt the weight and beauty of every small moment we don’t think matters… but they see it all.

The way we speak about our bodies.
What we put on our plates.
How we show up when it’s hard.
They absorb it more than they hear us say it.

Whether they’re little or grown, our kids follow our actions far more than our instructions. I’ve learned that the best way to inspire healthy habits in them… is to live them ourselves. 🌱

So yes, we choose wellness for us, for our energy, our healing, our joy.
But we also do it for them. To show them what it means to care for your body, your mind, your heart.
Let’s keep leading by example and raising a generation who values their health because they watched us do it first.
