April showers bring May flowers...
April was a pretty cold and rainy month, so I've been making different flower crafts to keep my mind occupied. First was paper flowers and now it's crocheted flowers! Next will probably be bejeweled flowers.. who knows... I'm open to suggestions!
Also working on an herbal crafting course to launch this month.... stay tuned!!!!

There's something about the budding of trees that makes me smile. Maybe it's the sign of the coming of Spring and warmer weather. Maybe it's the promise of new lilacs to sprout soon (one of my favourite flowers). Or perhaps it's that blooming buds signify growth and resilience. After enduring a harsh environment, something beautiful starts to grow out of a hardened exterior. That or it's just a "green thing on a stick". It all depends on your perspective (even a random green thing growing out of a stick is cool to me - nature is awesome!).

Prepping for my last herb class tomorrow! All on herbal preparations and how to make simple and effective herbal blends. Out on the patio is two "solar infusions" of chamomile and hibiscus (yes they look like herbal mustard and ketchup!). Today is a perfect day for an herbal solar infusion - 1 part dried herb, 4 parts water, 8 hours full sun = strong tonic decoction.

My new office
I always joke that I wanted an outdoor office.... I'm not sure if this is how I imagined it but adaptability it key! It's Naturopathic medicine week and unfortunately I'm not in the office, I haven't been for 9 weeks and have made a virtual clinic on the balcony. It's surrounded by trees so I'm keeping with the ND theme. Usually it's pretty calm out there ...but it has it moments of poor wifi and Petey interruptions. This ND awareness week I'm happy to be in my virtual office whether it be seeing patients or working on online material to support others. My favourite part about my job - the ability to do what I love and help others even if it has to be from my back porch. My summer clinic may have to be outdoors. Let's hope for continued sunny weather a coupled sunny outlook on things yet to come.
Btw - that sun streak to "office chair" happened regardless of where I took the picture.... must be some cosmic streak.
