Meet Rafaella, a recent Boomerang Health grad!🎓

To celebrate the completion of Occupational Therapy she added her very own boomerang to the clinic ceiling!

At Boomerang Health, we celebrate all the incredible goals kiddos are working on — one boomerang at a time! 🎉💪

Each boomerang hanging from the ceiling has something special written on it from a patient: a goal a child has achieved or is continuing to work on. From staying calm during tough moments 💛, to tying shoelaces ✨, joining in with friends 🤝, saying new sounds 🗣️, or learning how to jump with two feet 🦘 — every boomerang tells a story of effort, progress, and growth.

Rafaella added her boomerang to the collection to celebrate some of her achievements 💫 Her words and hard work are now flying high above, inspiring others to keep going and reach their goals too.

They’re more than just colorful shapes — they’re reminders that every step forward (big or small) deserves to be celebrated! 🙌

It feels like only yesterday that SickKids launched Boomerang Health as a new, independent and wholly owned healthcare centre in Vaughan to create more access to community-based services for babies, children and adolescents — but that was actually 2013!

Since 2013, Boomerang Health has been dedicated to providing community-based services for babies, children, and adolescents — from rehab and developmental services to general and specialized paediatricians. Boomerang Health extends the SickKids brand of high-quality care to Vaughan families with empathy and kindness.

Today, Mayor of Vaughan Steven Del Duca and Members of Council unveiled this blue balloon — one of 150 scattered across the GTA, Canada and beyond that celebrate significant milestones in SickKids history, from breakthrough medical discoveries to the 2013 founding of Boomerang Health in Vaughan!
