Chanté Burnett holds a Master of Science in Occupational Therapy from Queen’s University and an Honours Bachelor of Science with a specialization in Kinesiology from Western University. She has experience working with individuals across the lifespan, supporting individuals recovering from motor vehicle accidents, brain injury, concussion, and mental health challenges, as well as those navigating return-to-work and functional recovery. Chanté also brings prior experience as a Registered Kinesiologist, informing her integrated understanding of movement, function, and rehabilitation.

Chanté values client empowerment and takes an inclusive, culturally competent approach to care. She works collaboratively with clients to support confidence, autonomy, and active participation in their recovery.

We’re thrilled to welcome a new member to our growing team, Sean Hollingsworth. With this addition, Palmer Wellness & Rehab is now proud to offer Social Work services!

Sean is a dedicated and highly experienced social worker registered with the Ontario College of Social Workers, bringing over a decade of expertise in the field of acquired brain injury (ABI) rehabilitation and community facilitation. With a strong foundation in interdisciplinary team collaboration, Sean has worked alongside psychologists, psychiatrists, occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, and other clinicians to deliver holistic and person-centered care.

Throughout his career, Sean has demonstrated a commitment to enhancing quality of life and independence for individuals with complex needs by leading therapeutic, skill-building, harm reduction and community reintegration programs. Known for his excellent organizational, communication and problem-solving skills, Sean has also played a significant role in mentoring students and contributing to sector-wide initiatives—such as presenting at the Toronto ABI Network Conference and serving on the Advisory Committee on Accessible Transit (ACAT) with the Toronto Transit Commission (TTC).

With personal interests rooted in social justice, civic action, fitness and wellness, Sean brings both compassion and strategic vision to his work. His strengths lie in bridging clinical knowledge with community engagement to foster dignity, connection and empowerment for individuals living with brain injury.

A big thank you to Toronto ABI Network for hosting a fantastic conference last week!

PW&R had a wonderful time connecting and reconnecting with friends and colleagues, and learning so much from everyone.

It was our first time having a booth at this conference, and we truly enjoyed the experience. We love when our amazing team gets together. Thank you to everyone who stopped by. Until next time!

We are excited to announce that Ayushi Dhingra has joined our team as an occupational therapist.

Ayushi is a registered Occupational Therapist in good standing with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario. She is also a member of the Ontario Society of Occupational Therapists. She obtained her Honours Bachelor of Science in Cell & Molecular Biology at University of Toronto, and later completed her Masters of Science in Occupational Therapy at McMaster University.

Ayushi has over eight years of experience working as an Occupational Therapist with a specific focus on working with the paediatric population and clients with acquired brain injury. She has extensive experience in completing assessments and forming unique treatment plans for both children and adults with concussion, developmental delays, mental health disorders, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder, fine motor challenges, and sensory processing challenges. She is skilled at completing assessments of attendant care needs, home safety assessments, and functional capacity assessments.

Ayushi has completed various evidence-based programs and courses to provide the best care for her clients including Learning Without Tears, Brain Injury Family Intervention for Adults and Adolescents, and Goal Management Training.

We are excited to announce that Veemi Chouhan has joined our team as an occupational therapist.

Veemi is a registered Occupational Therapist in good standing with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario. She is also a member of the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists. She obtained her Honours Bachelor of Science in Integrative Biology and Health Studies Co-op at the University of Toronto Scarborough Campus, and later completed her Masters of Science in Occupational Therapy at the University of Toronto St. George Campus. She is experienced in providing services in the areas of community home safety assessments, Motor Vehicle Accident (MVA) rehabilitation, seating and mobility, stroke rehabilitation, palliative care, and chronic disease management. She provides services to a variety of demographics including adults and seniors experiencing physical, cognitive, and neurological changes or limitations. She engages in continuing education, having obtained her Assistive Devices Program (ADP) authorization, certificate to practice musculoskeletal acupuncture from Acupuncture Canada, and certificate to apply Polyvagal Theory practices towards clinical outcomes.
