🌱 Leading Beyond the Treatment Room. 🌱🧠 + 🩺 What Happens to the Mind and Body After an Injury?

Yesterday i had the pleasure of hosting a Lunch & Learn with the incredible team at McLeish Orlando LLP personal injury lawyers, alongside a Psychiatrist from the Traumatic Brain Injury Clinic at Sunnybrook Hospital. We talked about something really important: how accidents and injuries don’t just affect the body—they also take a toll on the mind.

When someone is hurt in a car accident or suffers a personal injury, the physical pain is just one part of the story. Anxiety, depression, PTSD, and other emotional struggles are often part of the recovery process too. This connection between the psyche (mind) and the soma (body) is something we can’t ignore.

I believe in treating the whole person—not just symptoms. That’s why I stay active in these conversations with lawyers, doctors, and other professionals—to help bring better care and understanding to those going through tough times.
