Anamav Postnatal Care Anamav was created to give new parents the care they deserve. We’re just a DM away 🩵

From mental health to sleep, lactation, and doula support, our experts are here for your whole family—because no one should struggle in silence after baby arrives. Anamav was created to help fill the gaps in postnatal care that so many mothers experience in Canada. We plan to offer some of the most essential services that a new mother needs: an extra set of hands, someone to offer words of comfort

or just listen, breastfeeding support for those who choose to breastfeed, and nourishing meals prepared fresh and delivered to your doorstep. Our goal at Anamav is to support the entire family and understand each family's individual needs.

Everyone talks about moms — and we should.

But dads? They’re struggling too, even if you don’t see it.

Behind every “strong dad” is a human quietly holding it all together.

This is your reminder: Partners need support, too. 👨🏽‍🍼

And when we say dad, we mean any partner, supporting caregiver, guardian, or father figure who’s showing up — often without being asked how they’re really doing.

Let’s make space for their stories.
Tag a partner you appreciate — or share this with someone who needs to hear it.

Let’s talk about what often gets missed in motherhood.

Postpartum isn’t always bliss.
Sometimes it’s anxiety, rage, numbness, or deep sadness — and still having to show up anyway.

Today, on World Maternal Mental Health Day, we’re holding space for the real journey.

The messy, raw, beautiful, human one.

You’re not alone. You’re not failing. And you deserve support.

Having my first child nearly broke me—but it also lit a fire in me to make sure no other parent ever feels alone in this.

If you’re in it right now:
You are not failing.
You are not broken.
You are not alone.
With help, you will be well.

(PSI) is an incredible global resource with free helplines, support groups, and more, and I am honoured to be one of their many volunteers.

You don’t have to wait until things get worse to reach out.

Let’s break the silence together.

Today is Pregnancy & Postpartum Psychosis Awareness Day.

PPP is ‘rare’ - but it is real, and it is urgent.

It can happen without warning, even to those with no prior history of mental illness. And yet—so many families have never heard of it until it’s too late.

I know about this because I lived it.
Awareness can prevent trauma.
Awareness can save lives.

Visit to learn more.
Let’s break the silence and protect families.

Are you pregnant and concerned about postpartum depression?

McMaster University is recruiting participants for a study about preventing postpartum depression (PPD).

They are conducting a research study to determine if a free, online, 1-day cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT)-based workshop delivered by trained professionals is effective at preventing PPD.

You may be eligible if you are living in Ontario, 18 years of age or older, currently in your 2nd or 3rd trimester of pregnancy, and feel you may have had a depressive episode in the past.

For more information or to register please email ppdprev@mcmaster.ca.
