Lid Express is a non-OHIP service for patients who want to remove benign eyelid growths. Lid Express is an initiative by Clarity Eye Institute.

It is a non-OHIP service for patients who want to remove benign eyelid growths (lumps and bumps) to improve the appearance of the eyelid and surrounding skin. Patients can use our simple online self-referral tool to arrange their procedure with ease.

Meet Dr. Jeremy Goldfarb, MD FRCSC, part of our team of Oculoplastic surgeons at Lid Express.

With advanced training at the University of Toronto and a subspecialty fellowship at the world-renowned MD Anderson Cancer Centre in Texas, Dr. Goldfarb brings expertise in eyelid, orbital, and cosmetic surgery.

From functional eyelid procedures to treating benign eyelid lesions, his focus is always on delivering natural outcomes and precise care. Patients value his surgical expertise and patient-centered approach to care.

Our Lid Express Director, Lisa Jagan, attended the 43rd Annual ESOPRS Meeting in Prague.

Oculoplastics surgeons from across the world came together to share innovations in the field and advances in surgical techniques. Dr. Vladimir Kratky a renowned surgeon in Canada and Europe, organized one of the most memorable and highly attended meetings that ESOPRS has seen. It was the perfect venue for exchanging ideas with highly regarded colleagues like Dr. Jane Olver , a pioneer in the field and the President of the International Society of Dacryology.

Another great night of learning with our optometry colleagues at Miller Tavern, featuring clinical discussions led by Dr. Lisa Jagan and Dr. Zale Mednick. We covered a lot of ground on interesting topics and approaches to ptosis, eyelid lumps and bumps, chalazion management, tearing patients, recurrent corneal erosion syndrome, and how to determine when corneal surgery should precede cataract intervention. It was a great opportunity to strengthen collaboration across disciplines in our field and an absolute pleasure to share insights and perspectives with all who attended. Thank you to Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Limited for sponsoring the night, it was a wonderful gathering of professionals in eye care.

Do NOT pick, poke or rub at your eyelid growth. Doing so can cause infection, worsen inflammation/swelling, delay healing, cause scarring, or damage the eyelid area.

DO apply a warm compress, keep the area clean and hands off, avoid makeup, and consider seeing an eye care professional for proper diagnosis and treatment if the bump persists.

When we introduced the Lid Express program, we really had a goal of making eye care more accessible, efficient, and results-driven, especially for patients who’ve felt frustrated with the traditional system.

Our surgical centre was fortunate to show Judy Sgro around our Clarity Eye facility and discuss our shared interest in solution-based thinking that ensures accessibility while delivering real results for patients. Her work toward a national strategy for eye health is helping bring attention to gaps within the system, as well as identify opportunities for better access to care. We’re so glad to have discussed such important topics together.

Engaging in meaningful discussions around eye care is a critical part in shifting the way people prioritize vision care.
