Lidia, our dedicated clinic manager for the past ten years, will soon be moving on to pursue an additional university degree. Her impact on our clinic cannot be overstated: under her guidance, our clinic has consistently ranked among the top 10 for patient satisfaction and excellence in care, achievements only possible through her vision, leadership, and unwavering commitment to both her team and our patients.

Sometimes life moves so fast that we forget to pause and appreciate the little gifts around us. Gratitude isn’t just a nice thought—it’s a practice that can completely shift the way we feel, giving us more peace, joy, and energy to face the day.

Here are 3 simple steps you can try today to grow the feeling of gratitude:

1. Write it down.
Each morning or evening, list 3 things you’re grateful for. They can be as simple as “a warm cup of coffee,” “a phone call with a friend,” or “the sunshine today.” Writing them makes the feeling more real.

2. Visualize it.

Recently, our clinic had the unique opportunity to conduct a video interview with a remarkable patient who has celebrated their centennial year. The interview was respectfully carried out only after obtaining full permission from the patient.

The conversation with our 100-year-old patient radiated wisdom drawn from decades of life experiences. These reflections offer all of us, especially younger generations, timeless guidance on living meaningfully, fostering resilience, and sustaining joy through change and challenge:

Embrace Each Day: The patient emphasized approaching each day with gratitude, curiosity, and a willingness to learn—no matter your age.

Value Relationships: Deep bonds with friends and family, and acts of kindness towards others, were highlighted as sources of enduring happiness and longevity.

Find Purpose: Maintaining an active life, discovering passions, and having a sense of purpose were noted as critical drivers for well-being throughout every decade.
