Either way, it results in a fun afternoon filled with smiles, laughter, and friendly competition!

Games like these are a great way to encourage light movement, support hand-eye coordination, and, most importantly, enjoy time together. It’s always wonderful to see our residents cheering each other on and having fun. 😀

Today our residents truly shared and shined!

Beautiful handmade treasures were proudly displayed—intricate cross-stitch, delicate petit point, cozy crochet, and cherished family mementos passed down through generations.

Stories flowed about family homesteads where children were raised and gardens lovingly grown 🌱, and about beloved family pets who brought endless joy and memories 🐾.

Every item held a story. Every story held pride.
What a meaningful reminder of the lives, love, and creativity that make our home at The Manor so special. ✨

Our Christmas Sweater Party takes place this Friday, December 19th and is a resident-only event.

Families are welcome to help spread the cheer by ensuring their loved ones have a festive sweater or Christmas attire to wear.

We were delighted to welcome the Mayor and Council members for a special Christmas visit today! 🎄

They arrived with a beautiful basket of goodies filled with chocolates, oranges, and candy canes, bringing smiles and holiday cheer to everyone.

🎄 Christmas fun at the Manor! 🎄

Today we celebrated National Gingerbread Day with a sweet activity, decorating gingerbread cookies together. Lots of creativity, laughter, and holiday cheer filled the room — and the best part? Taste testing our creations with a side of milk! 🥛✨

🎄✨ Today was our Residents’ Christmas Party! ✨🎄

We enjoyed a beautiful holiday luncheon, a visit from a very special guest (Santa himself!), and wonderful musical entertainment by Great West Canada Country. 🎶🤠

Our residents were smiling from ear to ear — full bellies, festive spirits, and lots of holiday cheer.

We’re fortunate to have several wonderful churches visit the Manor and provide services for our residents. Our residents always enjoy the musical talents of Pastor Calvin and his guitar — singing hymns together and listening to the good word.

These visits bring comfort, connection, and a sense of community that means so much to everyone here.

💜 Family Violence Prevention Month 💜
Today our residents proudly wore purple to show their support for Family Violence Prevention Month.

The Town of Vegreville reached out asking for community participation, and our residents were happy to take part. A simple gesture like wearing purple can carry a powerful message of hope, strength, and solidarity.

Thank you to everyone who joined in today and helped shine a light on this important cause. 💜✨

Today our residents painted beautiful poppies as we reflected on the meaning behind this powerful symbol of remembrance.

That peace on earth should grow, grow, grow.

Each painted poppy is a heartfelt reminder of those who served and sacrificed for the peace we cherish today. ❤️
