Cervical cancer is preventable—and Alberta is moving to a better way to screen for it.

The new HPV screening test is more effective than Pap tests and checks for high-risk HPV types that can lead to cervical cancer.

It’s now offered to Albertans ages 50–69, with plans to expand to ages 25–49. Talk to your healthcare provider for more information or visit https://screeningforlife.ca/cervical/get-screened/cervical-screening-test/

With fewer daylight hours in winter, some Albertans may not be getting enough vitamin D.
Support your bone, muscle, and immune health by:
☀️Eating vitamin D rich foods like fatty fish, eggs and fortified milk
☀️Spending short periods outdoors when weather allows
☀️Talking to your healthcare provider about whether a supplement is right for you
Be intentional about vitamin D this winter! Book a nutrition consult with a PCN registered dietitian.

Now that the holiday season is winding down, it’s a great time to check in with yourself and your mental health.

Here are some tips to help you beat the post-holiday blues:

➡️ Ease back into routine. Re-establish regular sleep, meals, and movement
➡️ Stay connected. Reach out to friends, family, or coworkers. Social connection matters after a busy season.
➡️Set small, realistic goals. Focus on one or two manageable goals to avoid feeling overwhelmed in the new year.

If you need support, your primary care provider, PCN or a trusted member of your health team can help connect you with supports and resources.🤍
