Vermilion Valley Lodge Cookbook Fundraiser!

We’re putting together a cookbook with all our favourite recipes and we’d love for you to be apart of it!

Submit your recipes by Sept. 30 to the recreation office or email tiana.kowalchuk@vdhf.ca
Feel free to add pictures or a favourite memory with your recipes. This cookbook will be sold as a fundraiser to support the lodge & will be ready just in time for the holiday season!

In honor of Grandparents Day, we’re celebrating the wisdom and love our residents bring to our community. We’ve created a special wall where residents and their families can share their best advice and life lessons for future generations.

Next time you stop by the lodge, we invite you to add your words of wisdom to the wall! Let’s fill it with timeless advice, warm encouragement, and the little reminders that make life meaningful. The wall is located just off the Rec Room by our Community Board & General Store.

August Staff Spotlight!

Leslie Somosot - Dining Room Server

Leslie has been part of our VDH family for nearly three years, greeting everyone with a smile and always on top of things. She’s proud of the strong relationships she’s built with residents and loves making their day brighter. Outside of work, she enjoys cooking Filipino food, baking, and singing along to her favorite karaoke tunes. We’re so grateful for her positivity and dedication!

Spot a scam before it spots you!

Today Nika Aalbers, Wainwright RCMP summer student visited our Wainwright Manor to share valuable tips on how to recognize a scam & what to do if you think you’ve been targeted. The residents learned what to watch for and the steps to protect themselves, thank you Wainwright RCMP for helping keeping the community informed & safe!

Remember:
•Never give out personal information to unknown callers or emails
•Report any suspicious activity to the RCMP right away!
