Celebrating an Extraordinary Retirement: Shirley Nelson
Today, we honour someone whose commitment, heart, and steady presence have shaped the Vermilion & District Housing Foundation for nearly half a century.
Shirley Nelson joined the Foundation in 1976, and for just shy of 49 years, she has devoted her life to supporting our residents and helping VDHF grow into the organization it is today. Her dedication has been nothing short of remarkable.
Shirley has been a part of our story for decades. Through countless changes, challenges, and celebrations and her impact can be felt in every corner of our organization. Her compassion, consistency, and deep care for others have left an imprint that will be remembered for many years to come.
As she steps into retirement, we celebrate not only the work she has done, but the kindness, humour, and steady leadership she has shared with all of us. She has given so much of herself to VDHF, and we are profoundly grateful.
Please join us in congratulating Shirley on an incredible career and wishing her all the joy and relaxation she deserves in this next chapter.
