As Vice President of The Kayde Foundation (Candice Anderson), I’ve had the privilege of getting to know Alexa, along with the stories of our board members and community, surrounding their journeys through loss and infertility. Alexa has beautifully embodied taking personal loss and transforming it into something good, honoring the light of those we’ve lost by helping others find hope. 💛

I am truly honored to be nominated for Volunteer of the Year and the Customer Service Award for Small Business. To be recognized alongside so many incredible individuals and businesses in our community is such a privilege.

Everything I do is made possible by the amazing people who surround me: my supportive team at Reflections, my wonderful family, and the incredible volunteers I have the privilege to work alongside.

It’s an honor to serve Vermilion and our surrounding communities, both in my role as a funeral director and through work with organizations such as The Kayde Foundation, Walking Through Grief, the Underwater Search Team, and the Alberta Funeral Services Association.

I’m truly honored to serve on The Kayde Foundation and to have been part of the tremendous success of yesterday’s Walk of Remembrance.
This event was about so much more than just a walk. It was about love, courage, and creating a space where families can come together to remember the little lives that left us too soon. The strength and compassion of everyone who supports this cause, is nothing short of inspiring.
Together, we’re keeping memories alive and building a legacy of love and healing.

From Heartbreak to Healing – One Step at a Time

1st Annual Infant & Pregnancy Loss Memorial & Awareness Walk + Run, hosted by The Kayde Foundation.

Taking place this Sunday, September 21, 2025 from 10:30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. at the Vermilion Provincial Park – Across from Train Station

Join for a day of remembrance, healing, and community support as we raise awareness for families affected by the loss of a baby or child. This event is open to anyone, whether you have personally experienced miscarriage, stillbirth, infant or child loss, TFMR, or infertility, or simply want to support those who have.

Come walk with us as we remember, honor, and heal... together.

The event is free, with an option to add a donation to The Kayde Foundation.
