I won’t travel without Elderberry in my carryon - non negotiable!

Here’s why…

I had a fantastic vacation in Mexico last year 🇲🇽 visiting my parents and all the socializing had me a bit tired before my flight home. And I thought man… I hope it’s a good flight with awesome seat friends. It was… except the lady beside me had a cold… a nasty whooping cough sort of a cold and she was keen on sharing it with me. She did not cover her mouth well, in fact my 6 year old niece does a better job. And we are sharing the same recycled airplane air and in super close proximity to each other. For hours.

Luckily, I had brought some elderberry tincture down to Mexico for my parents as they had run out so I dosed daily while I was there for the week and I had an extra one for me that I used to dose throughout my flight. (About every hour I took a half dropper full).

I have read the studies and know that elderberry is known to prevent cold and flus for airplane travellers… and YIPPEE 🙌 it worked! Not sick. Even though I was super exposed!

What product did I use? I had the tincture so I used that… But - we have 2 easy to use products our tincture and our syrup that are carry on compliant sized and I will never fly without it — you just never know who you will be seated beside and whether they remember how to cover their mouth. 🙄

Most elderberry in Canada is imported and a lot of elderberry products in the stores start with dehydrated elderberry or have more filler then elderberry.

We use farm fresh and organic elderberry as the main ingredient and use simple ingredients in all of our products.

Just because elderberry is health does not mean it needs to taste healthy, like the dirt it was grown in 😂. We firmly believe that you will taste the difference fresh makes and have a delicious lineup for you to choose from.

Food is medicine.
This is the hill I will die on. I come from a long line of women using food as medicine and I will continue to firmly believe this to be true.

Here’s some facts :: supplements are made (at least the good whole food ones) from extracts from nature — the plant leaves, fruit or roots. One of the main reasons they like to isolate an extract is profit…. big money, big money, big money.

Yes this extract often works but let me let you in on a little secret…

Often there is more benefit by consuming the original source ie the food because the absorption, assimilation and overall effectiveness and benefits are often due to a combination of what is in the original berry, plant, root. Consuming the whole food is more balanced then a supplement meaning you’re way less likely to have big side effects or any side effects for that manner from a food sourced nutrient then you are from a nutrient in isolation.

This is why my mom had us eat a balanced diet… real food from our garden, fruit, veggies, meat, and homemade bread and tea — she loves her teas. She believed in food as medicine and she is a vibrant 73 year old on zero medications so I’m going to believe her because she is living proof!!

This is why our products have simple ingredients and are jam packed with real food… our farm grown organic elderberry being the main ingredient in everything we create.

Yes elderberry is great for supporting your immunity. But… did you know it is also excellent for other benefits like fighting cold/flu symptoms (fever, cough, body aches), reducing inflammation, and providing antioxidants (flavonoids, anthocyanins) to combat free radicals, potentially benefiting heart health (cholesterol, blood pressure) and digestion, as well as lowering inflammation which aids in having beautiful skin with some traditional uses for pain relief and blood sugar management.

You’re probably thinking WOW that’s quite the list! You’re right… it is and it’s why elderberry tea before bed or a dropper of our elderberry tincture is in my daily rotation so I get all this goodness every day!
